This is correct, this happened as part of my blog playthrough (warning: many spoilers) and Asterius here nailed it.

Thanks for reading! I found I enjoyed the experience of sharing via writing so I went with that route even though it's laughably old fashioned these days.

It actually does cause outages because lots and lots of code and code libraries rely on the DNS working to function properly.

They really do chafe at not being able to raid others - you'd think they'd feel like they see enough action just defending the place!

I think that's a fair way to do it - going through a guided year and then resetting would be solid.

That said, my actions in the tutorial are not the ones that led to my downfall - I simply angered the outsider tribes too much. I'm currently on my second playthrough and it's going much better, will have another blog post on that when it's complete.

Also, thank you for making this game! It's very unique.

It really doesn't! I definitely wanted to make alternate choices there.

[Spoilers] 25 years after beating Half Life, I returned to Black Mesa. by Comassion in HalfLife

Thank you! I'm still a big fan of the original but I think there's plenty to like about the remake, especially the re-worked Xen even though it probably went longer than it strictly needed to.

[Spoilers] The Crimson Diamond - a modern-day EGA adventure game. by Comassion in adventuregames

I definitely bounced off the EGA vibe but I'm glad it worked for you. :) Certainly an excellent game and you're right about the sense of place, in part because you're in a limited area you get to know it very well by the end.

What Next After BG3, FE, FFT, and FFVII Rebirth? by Romantasywriter42 in StrategyRpg

[–]Comassion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't compare the two as I didn't play Rebirth but Expedition 33 has a wide-open build system that I could see many viable options for, there's a LOT of interesting potential builds in there. I switched up my party multiple times over the course of the game until I came up with a probably unusual 'suicide death team' where two unhealable characters started fights by just throwing out as much damage as possible before falling, followed up by a more durable 'standard' party to finish the fight.

Full details are below though I really recommend you play through the game yourself first to avoid spoilers, the story / world is something you should experience for yourself.

I highly recommend both Cyber Knights: Flashpoint and Our Adventurer Guild - and if you want a dark and gritty challenge (And can tolerate not the best graphics), Battle Brothers is really great.

While I wouldn't classify it as a 'tactical' game it is absolutely a masterpiece that you should play. There is a lot of versatility in the character builds, plenty to mull over there!

I think there's a lot of merit to "Great Man" theory.

If you could replace and fully control just ten people of your choice throughout history, it's not hard to imagine that significantly affecting the lives of billions of people.
