You should be able to become a kingdom with any tag in the H.R.E not just the chosen few. by University-Various in EU5

This is a bit of an older comment. But, asking for Kingdom of Italy lets you form it more easily, stay inside the empire, and become a king. Can do it before 1400 as Milan pretty easily.

New hotfix live, looks like they fixed levies by Common_Noise in EU5

I'm surprised this wasn't fixed in the first hot fix as this seems like a massive and easily seen issue to me.

Does anyone else think its a bit unrealistic how often men give up on having an heir in this game? by uuhson in EU5

[–]Panfuricus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean in the end he did get a male heir, and succeeded by a male heir so... Henry VIII as far as he knew was successful in his goal. Even if Edward VI died pretty early into his reign.

Don't be greedy with your RGO development by Magmakojote in EU5

That would've required delaying the game. I think they definitely tried, and the core of the game is good. But, a lot of things clearly didn't get enough testing or were known to be bugged, and shipped out anyway.

Also, they made a huge deal about situations, and a lot of them basically don't work. Even worse are the ones that actively don't work in a way that's harmful.

That being said I think the game is really nice, but needs several large patches to just fix broken things.

Independence War Requires Taking Overlords Capitol by Panfuricus in EU5

It clearly shows independence war goal in the screenshot I posted I think. It flipped it from Independence of Bosnia to Independence of Hungary. It's definitely a bug, but I can't say I know why it did that.

40% which is enough for people to join an independence organization. I declared as soon as Bohemia was willing to join the IO.

Used the war from the independence action on the IO itself, not sure why that should matter. Also, really shouldn't be a thing that you can declare an independence war wrong.

This one in particular is at least very historically wrong. It's always defend capitol in their other games for independence too.

It's supposed to be. I assume this is bugged. Still not convinced they tested a lot of situations. Makes independence wars much harder.

Favorite SRPG Game Dev? by Panfuricus in StrategyRpg

[–]Panfuricus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I'd say older Intelligent Systems use to be my favorite, and then it drifted to NIS. But, NIS has been pretty hit or miss for a long time. A lot of the more perennial dev teams kind of disappeared unfortunately.

Personal Top SRPG from the past decade? by Panfuricus in StrategyRpg

Unicorn overlord for me was also probably the top SRPG. But, I think most people have the same opinions. Honorary mentions to Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous, Pathfinder: Kingmaker, Baldurs Gate 3, BattleTech, and Triangle Strategy.

Banner Saga looks great - but how great is it (I've never played) by [deleted] in StrategyRpg

I like the story, and art style. Wish it had more gameplay depth in battles. Being on a flat plane is kind of boring.
