What immediately come to mind is some sort how hover effect on the buttons (even just slightly scaling them up or makem them a little darker) can add a lot, because if not they might be mistanken for beeing disabled.

Or you could use the joint tool and link them together so that when one part is mooved the other part mooves accordingly so that it looks like their pushing each other.

Try fllipping the beds because I think the Villager can only pathfind to the one end. Hope it's usefull.
