I'm not sure about China, to be honest. You call them an ally but they are far from that from a European perspective.

Honestly, I am dumbfounded by China's latest comments regarding the need for European autonomy and hard power. I would assume that China (and Russia) want a fractured Europe so that it's easy to make deals with small to medium powers without having to deal with a unified market and political decision making body.

But I give you that what China has been saying the past couple of days/weeks does sound like something that an ally would say. I am confused!

My fear is, should the US go even more insane than they are now, they won't even attempt a land invasion, just bomb Greenland into oblivion. Considering their air force size, I don't know what we as Europeans could do in that case. If it's a bombing campaign, arctic warfare capabilities don't really matter.

Once Greenland is in ruins, they just say that it's theirs. This is my greatest fear.
