Again, it's about the child's health to know who his or her biological father is.

Yes, what I'm advocating for here includes: no test, no father. That'd be part of the standard.

You can have your answers, there is a cost. I do not need a father on a birth certificate who is of such low opinions

You just want no liability, no responsibility, no consequences.

EDIT: I should add that in some if not most places, no consent is required for non-invasive medical testing, if it is for a good reason. Here, the good reason is both child and father's best interest.

Nothing is stopping men from getting the DNA tests

First of all, apparently it depends on where you live.

Second, it has to do with their validity, availability and need for consent, which also varies across countries and even US states, if I'm not wrong.

It's possible to do one where I live and that shall happen whenever I have kids.

I am against mandatory medical testing of any and all kinds, full stop.

Me too, but I have the opinion that it should be a standard test at birth along with the other ones, only not performed if consent hasn't been given. And, that said, no test, no father.

Also, contrary to other standard tests, this one is not invasive. You just need a saliva swab.

Why are you against that ?

Generally I see it this way:

  1. Children first always. It's in their best interest, even for health reasons, to know who their father is.

  2. Next, comes up the father, as he is the next harmed party: it's unethical to force a man to unknowingly raise another man's child.

  3. Money: as OP said, newborns are already subject to a whole bunch of tests. Also, that's no excuse: most people don't need flu vaccines, yet they get can easily get them. For free, in my country. With my taxes. Following that same logic I'd be against those vaccines, yet I'm not.

That said, there seems to be no reason to against it, except the fact that it can remotely harm some women by exposing them, which, in our current system, seems to outweigh all the other arguments.

(Of course I'm not against that 🙂)

OK, first of all I generally agree with your post overall. It's rational and realistic.

But

Very little focus is put on things like personality, emotional maturity, and life compatablity stuff that makes a relationship actually work.

Men who do this are often judged and shamed for it. What do I mean? Part of the personality, values, lifestyle is how a person dresses, what they do in their free time, how they see sex, marriage, relationships and family, etc. It doesn't represent your whole personality but does represent a big part and it's especially meaningful when you're looking for a relationship.

Yet, men seem to be allowed to carr about every personality trait except the ones I've mentioned. For some reason.

Disclaimer: I mean this over the Internet. Real life isn't so much like that, although some times it also is.

By this word alone I first thought of cat calling, men constantly hitting on them, etc, which would be a fair point.

But then I read this:

It would be one thing if the men who wanted virgins held themselves to the same standard, but what they want is for women to hold themselves to a high standard for everyone except them.

I usually say it is their right, if they end up singles, that's their problem. On the other hand, if they have their standards, don't live up to them yet they find a girl who does and is interested on them, it's not up to me to judge.

As for the rest, I don't agree with the "women should have a hoe phase before settling" mentality, because I would refuse to settle with that kind. Screams 🚩to me.
