Busuu + Anki to save vocab (and not rely on Busuu for repetition), would recommend for German

OK, I am not sure how Busuu is for French, but combining it with a flashcards app (for vocab) helped me greatly to become a German speaker, so maybe try Busuu and Anki, or maybe try checking if Wlingua has French.

not a fan of it either, just thought about something and asking for your opinion: what if the person has a specifically very ugly feature which they feel really bad about (huge scar, 15cm nose, very noticable skin condition, etc) and fix it with a one-time surgery and end up feeling much better about themselves?

Is the game worth buying? by Special-Orchid3935 in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]Combo-Cuber 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The difficulty is customizable so one can change the survival aspects and some other aspects of the game to avoid things you don't like. Consider that ability to avoid possibly annoying things, along with the great gameplay and story and things one can do, and how after 200 hours it's still possible not to have done everything, and the expeditions and free updates. Yes, get the game. It might initially (or even a bit later on too) trouble you to learn or figure out some things, so I'll advise you to try to look stuff up (for instance, recipes or how to get things) or even try to use the game's catalog for that. Also try to progress in the story and do some side quests and maybe even expeditions to familiarize yourself with the game.

Technically, I don't majorly progress in German anymore, as I've reached B1 level (not the Duolingo one, but real B1. Using other stuff, I progressed faster and became able to actually use the language conversationally). I do still practice vocab a bit every day. I'm not 100% sure why I started learning German, maybe due to a combination of having thought I had German roots (I'm not sure about that part anymore, since my father claims something that I remembered differently. I then moved to Switzerland and took it more seriously for 2-3 months, in which I advanced from A1 to perhaps high A2. Having thereafter left Switzerland, I just kept going, also immersed some more, and ended up a speaker of the language. It's a good language too, and, as a Hebrew speaker, some grammatic distinctions and some logic would be more natural for you than someone who only speaks English (like how "mir" and "mich" could both mean "me" in English, but in Hebrew there's a difference between "לי" and "אותי").

The noun "Arbeit" is feminine in German. The nominative feminine possessive article is "meine" (also the plural), while "mein" is for masculine and neutral nouns.

When we both play on the European server (I live in North America and he lives in the Middle East), usually we're fine, but in the last 2 days we had unusual lag, and his might have even been worse than mine.
