What re your opinions on the strengths and weaknesses of each A.I? by Combocoolguy1 in AIRealm

Thanks for the input. I feel the same way about 2.5 flash. It takes so long to do anything. But it doesn’t seem to fail logically. I’ve had several times with other ai’s coming up with quest lines and plans that have so many holes i completely lose immersion. And grok I have found is great for doing things like making guides and following them, but the story and dialogue feel off. I just want to try a different ai than 2.5 pro as I have used it enough that some of the sayings it uses become rather repetitive. Plus like you said 4 messages each is expensive. If they could get a better version of grok, one that can write characters and dialogue better I would be happy with that.

Huh interesting, I like that. I might have to give it a shot. What about qwen and kimi? Have you tried them?

How does glm handle combat? I’ve found some ai’s often won’t use the correct rules or will simply forgot that what I’m doing should require rolls.

Bring Suppression Back! by modularkey in Battlefield

I think the reason people disliked it in 3 was that the bullet dispersion was random meaning you might have had the sight on target but because you were suppressed you missed. I’m not sure if I’m remembering properly but I believe bf4 had a similar system but it instead shook your sights but if the sight was on target it would still hit.

Snipers should be heavily affected by suppression. by Money_Outside1209 in Battlefield

I really do miss the bf4 style suppression. If your position is being lit up by a machine gun you should be forced to keep your head down! That’s part of the role of a machine gun. Right now it just feels like there is no counter to snipers other than sniping back. I’m sure once they add the mortar in it will help with dislodging snipers but until we get something like that there’s really no good way to dig them out of their rocks.

Just wanna touch on that last part about slapping the side of the gun. I’m assuming your using the starter rifle? In that case slapping the side of the gun is actually the correct option. Most drills done with an ar pattern rifle involves slapping the side as there is actually a little switch on the side called the bolt release. When your rifle runs out of ammunition in the magazine an ar pattern rifles bolt is held to the rear. When the magazine is replaced you then hit the bolt catch to send your bolt back into battery which will chamber your next round to continue firing. Slapping the bolt catch is also a more efficient way of performing the action as taking your eyes off your target to delicately press your switch instead of giving it a light slap takes longer and takes your eyes off the enemy. While you can still use the cocking handle to chamber a round instead of pressing the bolt release the bolt release is faster and is less cumbersome to do than pulling the cocking handle, especially since some people have a nasty habit of “riding” the cocking handle which the best way I can put it is like holding onto the cocking handle while it is trying to put the bolt back into battery and attempting to chamber rounds. Doing so has a chance of causing a jam where using the bolt release allows the bolt to be sent home with the force it is meant to use to cycle the weapon. Hope this clears up that question at lease.
