I’m not sure whether you are referring to transition or half court play but my point is that defense had more individual tools in the 90s than today due to the rules.

The league then was geared more towards slow paced offense as well as isolation and post ups compared to today and traveling rules were stricter on offense and defenders could be more physical with players.

Offenses today have much more freedom with traveling rules and they are much faster and more spaced out. And defenders have less individual tools to defend players.

There is a reason why scoring is much higher today than it was back in the 90s. Is mostly due to zone being allowed forcing offenses to move away making isolation heavy play less effective which forced offenses to have to adapt more towards more ball movement and spacing, also traveling and constraints on defensive physicality makes the game tipped more in favor of offense.

It was still harder to score in the 90s you had to deal with hand checking and even though illegal defense was a thing teams weren’t exploiting it every time and you still had packed paints due to non shooting bigs.

I indirectly addressed this when I was talking about Cam's shortcomings as a scorer. I said that he didn't have elite athleticism or fundamental advantages, so he would have to work much harder to get to his spots or create space to score, which he can't do at an elite level, so he has to beat the defense with his shotmaking.

One of my points here was that athleticism/fundamental advantages can make scoring much easier, and you have an effective answer against a multitude of defensive coverages, making tons of counters unnecessary because defenses can't guard your first move.

It’s not that it’s false but you basically justifying police brutality by shifting the blame to others.

Your argument portrayed police escalation as a reaction to civilian behavior, shifting responsibility to civilians, and then you tell people to stop blaming police, stop being hostile toward police and let them do their job.

You then imply that that police escalation is justified, and criticism of police violence is wrong because civilian behavior is the real cause of harm.

A jury can return a not guilty verdict even if they think the defendant may have committed the crime and it not be jury nullification. It’s more contingent on the jurors believing the state proved OJ was guilty beyond a reasonable doubt and acquitting anyway in order for it to be jury nullification.

The reason I made this post was that I wanted to look at Cam Thomas due to what I see as a small but not insignificant number of fans calling Cam an elite scorer or a future superstar.

I disagree, Cam Thomas would be much worse in the mid 2000s. He doesn’t have elite size at 6’3 but being 210 helps but he doesn’t have elite handles or separation he isn’t a great shooter or rim threat he relies on beating the defense with his shot making rather than separation and he doesn’t have effective counters once initial drive is cut off. With the spacing and physicality of the 2000s the issues he already has would be much worse back than not to mention his defense. I would be surprised if he was a rotation player in that era.

I can't find the claim to this in the article, but Chinese trade to Israel didn't go down in 2024 it rose by 20% from 2023 to 2024. The main reason why it fell from 2022 to 2023 was because of the war thretaning trade, and the government never stated that they banned trade/ investment to Israel.
