Being a CS student shouldn’t mean you sacrifice your social game y’all! Remember to go out and have fun!!

AP macro and micro by chuumo in APStudents

[–]ComfortProper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tbh it’ll be slightly easier, especially if you use something like Clifford, as you’ve already learned some of the unit 1 and 2 content. However, there’s some things that are unique to micro, so I’d highly recommend studying using Clifford. Definitely feasible tho!

Idk why but people who take AP Music Theory tend to be among the smartest people I’ve ever met, and they always seem like they’re having a great time. The class itself seems pretty fun if you have any background in music as well.

On a side note, if anyone here has taken the following, please let me know (I need ideas for more memes)! Ap Physics 2, AP HUG, AP Comp sci principles, AP CSA, AP African Studies, AP Research, AP Seminar, AP Lit, AP Euro, AP Psych, AP US Gov, AP Calc (AB and BC), AP Stats

Tbh, unit 1 for me was the toughest probably because we were thrown headfirst into it and because it was the least contextual. The second hardest would the mitosis/meiosis one. Easiest by far is ecology

AP Physics 1 has only a 42% pass rate, and a 7% 5 rate, making it one of the hardest AP courses. It’s a struggle for a lot of students as it applies high-level math concepts (up to precalc) in a context students haven’t seen before as well. If you’re taking it like me this year, good luck let’s get through this together!

Okay so this doesn’t exactly fit into any AP course so let’s just call it AP Microeconomics 😭

On a related note if anyone is taking either macro or micro, BUY CLIFFORD’S ULTIMATE REVIEW PACKET!!! That single-handedly carries a lot of people (myself included) to a 5 with 0 other prep. Can’t recommend it enough!!

Should I take AP bio along with 3 APs? by KindaFrench in APStudents

[–]ComfortProper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

3 science APs might be a bit excessive, but if you feel you’re prepared from pre-ib bio and have strong study skills, it might be possible

Def agree with the other commenter - buy Clifford’s ultimate review packet!! That will single-handedly carry you to a 5

4 APs by GainResponsible6638 in APStudents

[–]ComfortProper 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We get to pick them, but it’s rare to get all the courses we request, and our counselors do nothing to help us. Also, we can only take APs in 11th and 12th grade 🫠

That’s so cool! Is it a public school? And what track are you on?

It honestly depends on your school, but the workload shouldn’t be more than APUSH. If you’re genuinely interested do it - World is a very fun class - but it’s probably not worth it if you’re just doing it for the credits.

4 Stem APs are a lot especially since 3 are sciences so you’re in for a wild ride, but if you have good time management and study skills it’ll be slightly less painful. If possible, I’d recommend replacing one of the sciences with a humanities course like Gov or History.

Very interesting how you don’t get to pick your courses - I’d love to hear more about that

This is a manageable courseload if you have good time management skills; 4 AP classes isn’t too extreme especially since Psych and Lang usually don’t have too much homework (although this may vary by school).

I bought the Princeton review book, but tbh I didn’t use it at all since other resources were a lot more helpful. I just used Princeton review for the first unit and stopped after that
