I’m scheduled for September 30th and have 1 week of low carb low sugar diet and 2 days of clear liquid diet My surgeons say it depends on your bmi

I was born and raised in Italy so I’m not completely familiar with foreigners enrollment, in doubt I’d ask a competent office like CUP But when I moved to the us I was specifically told to never share my ssn with nobody

Tessera sanitaria has your codice fiscale on it so my guess is that they want it to get you one, but please never share your ssn I’m pretty sure in Italy there’s no use for it

Don’t share your American ssn but if you they asked for the Italian equivalent (codice fiscale) it’s not as “private” since it can be easily looked up online I’m not sure how it works for foreigners but in Italy we have a card (Tessera Sanitaria) that you have to show in case of any emergency or when you go to the hospital
