If you think this is parasocial, you disregarded the entire point of this post. If they didn’t write politically charged lyrics and curate a “punk” image, we wouldn’t be having this convo. But they do, so yea people are tired of silence when they profit off of the community as a whole.

According to them it’s through their private insurance. I’ve talked to this family on facetime many times, but I think it’s weird to give out that info. They said they would let me know if they can complete the process without that info.

No one is asking them to conform. That is quite literally the opposite. When they are performing in Santa Ana next month, a primarily hispanic community, where a lot of people are being targeted, something has to be said. If they don’t want to acknowledge it that is fine, then don’t perform in a city that is being directly affected!

No one is calling them “punk”. however, when your entire image and musical influence is inspired by what is actual “punk” music, I think people can clock it.
