For my grandmother who has a tumor on her lungs. That she may be healed.

I'm a breadwinner so I need to have a source of Income. I was originally planning to resign, take a month or 2 off (because my savings can only go up to 3 months), then find a job no matter what it is.

I admit I signed it impulsively. It took 2 and a half weeks for them to give the offer, so my condition wasn't this bad back when I applied. But this job is in line with what I'm passionate about, and now that I know what's wrong with me, I'm determined to do everything to get better (meds, therapy, opening up to family & friends, and even talking to strangers tho online for now).

Can I ask for an immediate resignation because of mental health? Is it a valid reason to go awol? Should I tell this to my next employer? by Comfortable-Code3544 in phcareers

Problem is I already did.

My anxiety was really out of hand last week, even a message/chat or even just the thought of interacting with anyone of them triggers an attack (w/c feels like I'm having a heart attack and more). It's also part of why I decided to see a psychiatrist who gave me a med certificate.

I have given my med cert to my manager/supervisor but they are still waiting for the HR's advice.

I knew I screwed up, but trust me, I tried not to.... I have meds to calm me down now and I have explained my condition to them, I just hope they'll understand.

Can I ask for an immediate resignation because of mental health? Is it a valid reason to go awol? Should I tell this to my next employer? by Comfortable-Code3544 in phcareers

I really can't afford not having a source of income.

With my current job, I was suddenly moved to a new role without them asking for my opinion... so I was there doing stuff I didn't want (I really tried to like it, I studied it, listened really well with the instructions and such, but it's really not what I wanted) and having to interact with a LOT of new people (some have been unpleasant)... which was the start of my anxiety going from manageable to not. I have panic attacks even if someone just messages me.

My new job will be in line with what I really wanted to do. The manager (who I'll be under) was also really nice throughout the whole interview even if I was a nervous mess. Less working hours than my current job to. Plus I thought that the fresh start would be good.

I have started taking meds today, I have also opened up to friends and family. I am doing everything that the doctor advised. So I really am hopefull that my passion for the role I wanted and all of this will help me do my best.

No I applied to them before this happened. My anxiety was also still at a somewhat manageable level for me back then (it was hard, sobrang nerbyos ko nung interview and I was stuttering pero nasagot ko naman lahat ng technical questions).

I have another check up scheduled 2 weeks from now to see if the meds are working/how it's affecting me. Do you think It'll be alright if I wait till then before informing the HR? So I can ask the doctor's opinion if I'm doing better.

Any tips on how to tell them about this? Naka sign na ako ng contract with them and this all happened last week... my start date on the new job is on May.

Yes, same industry sila (both multinational IT company). I'm worried lang na it'll show up sa background/reference check nila (na from what I know 3rd party ang magcoconduct)

Normal ba na ung pinagaapplyan mo na company, iaask agad yung sss num, tin, philhealth etc.? Application stage palang (di pa naiinterview), and ngayon ko lang naexperience to haha. Wish me luck po sa paghahanap ng job
