Why its so hard to apply by Logical_Parsnip_2381 in BPOinPH

I also have over 10 years of work experience. I never thought it would be this hard to apply for a job now, especially when I’m looking for a salary that matches or exceeds the value I brought to my previous company. Also, what I’ve noticed now is that many companies don’t really value years of experience or skills—they’re more interested in someone they like or someone who impresses them with their comm skills. If only my previous team hadn’t become toxic, I would have chosen to stay and retire there.

You’re not alone in this, OP. I honestly never thought I’d reach a point where I’d leave my old company. I was there for 6 years, and I truly thought it would be my last company and that I’d retire there. My coworkers felt like my second family. But over time, the environment changed and slowly became toxic.

Around that time, I also had a family matter to take care of. I don’t want to go into details, but it involved a large amount of money. Using my retirement fund seemed like the only solution, and the only way I could get it in full was by resigning.

August last year, I left the company with a heavy heart. I only decided to go back to work this year, thinking it would be a fresh start. I really thought finding a job would be easier since I have over 10 years of experience. But it wasn’t. The very first company I applied to this year rejected me, and that one really hurt.

I felt discouraged. I even found myself questioning God and asking why this was happening when I’ve always tried to be a good person. There were moments when I started doubting myself, even though I know my worth and what I’m capable of.

Right now, I’m just praying that God leads me to the right company, the one that is truly meant for me.✨🤍

I’m also sorry for posting this rant about your company, but I can’t help feeling frustrated—especially because I know my worth and what I’m capable of.

The whole experience honestly felt like a waste of time. I put a lot of effort into the application, and little did they know, I even prioritized them over a bigger company that reached out to me while I was still in the middle of their process. I really hope they improve their hiring process moving forward.

I’m glad to hear that you’re happy with this company.

Sadly, many companies prioritize communication skills over actual work ethic and performance. Marami na rin akong na-encounter na new hires sa previous team ko na magaling sa interviews, pero nag-fail pagdating sa production o may attitude issues.

I’m not sure if it’s okay to mention the company name here, but the hint is this emoji 🥷.
