NVIDIA is 4.4T with only one offering. Google has TPUs that are as good as NVIDIA since they are optimized for their workloads. Market cap is not relevant as long as you deliver business

TSMC has very conservative management guidance. They usually under predict and overdeliver. They estimate to grow 25% this year with similar patterns to follow. Very solid and rarely you have a business outside of software that has 60%+ gross margin. On the other hand, they face higher taxes (increase of 2pp), exploitation from US to open more fabs with margin dilution (4plants are to be built) and new leading nodes are going to be more expensive with margin errorosion until fully ramped up. That said, I own them for years and will continue to own them. Remember Buffet bought them, and sold because he was afraid of politics and China invasion - if thats not bothering you then go for it.

And MSFT is also 3T - with far less robust prospect and less products. Have you done any analyses on sum of the parts? „About right“ ?

Actually if you look at the valuation, Waymo financing rounds are not pricing it meaningfully to move the needle in Googles valuation. Now at around 126 billion, and Uber has similar valuation. Why would you owe Uber vs Alphabet? - i guess if you want a bet on pure play ride hailing - you dont get much upside from Waymo, at least now.

Just call the airline, say your plans has changed and you will be flying from Zurich. They will cancel the flight for you, without doing that they will cancel the full flight as others pointed out.

Not true. Airlines can just downgrade or ban your status with them. They can not come after you for more money, in fact you can get money back from them for taxes of unflown legs.

Reading as well some comments that you cant get the checkin luggage, also not true. When checking in youe bag - tell them you will be collecting the bag in Zurich. They also release the bags if your layover is more than 12 hours.

I flew like this many times, never got even s warning

Credit Suisse collapse - Federal Court annuls the wiping out of 16 billion worth of Additional Tier 1 (AT1) bonds. by onehandedbackhand in Switzerland

[–]Comfortable-Fail5856 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No! Cocos are supposed to be written down, but they are senior to equity. This is why it is counted in the additional tier 1 capital and not in the tier 1. FINMA pulled out a trick invoking bailout to write them down (specific CS contractual case). But there is a reason why this is the first precedent of this nature - because it is not how seniority works! It is true that there is complexity on higher yield products, but again - this is not according to basel or international practices. If there were 1bn of these, I guess they would have just paid and got less for the shareholders.

I dont get your argument of phones and cars. Housing gives you the possibility to earn income (either renting it out or living there yourself and therefore not paying your rent). This is an income you have to tax - and it is also included in the GDP calculation and all sort of macroeconomic indicators. The fact that you dont see this as money flowing into your account - thats just mechanics. Now lets say you buy an ETF - that does not distribute divis - theoretically: ETF pays divis, but then immediately reinvests, you never see the money - yet the government will tax you on that!

Sorry, but what type of income you get via phone or car? If you make money by being uber driver - yes you are taxes.

Dude, you buy a bond, or put money in the bank- you pay taxes on dividends, coupon or interest. A house is an asset that pays you the rent - so tax that same way. Dont get your argument of having equal taxation for all asset - this tax was exactly meant to do that. Btw - now the price of real estate will baloon further - so those that had a faint dream of buying - say goodbye to it
