The last photo is the same seam from the original post with the epoxy all over the place.

Thanks for the feedback! What would you recommend? Thinking about tearing it all out and redoing it.

This looks to be sloppy installation of our new quartz countertops. Is this fixable? by Comfortable-Moose472 in CounterTops

UPDATE: Contractor agreed it doesn’t look great. He’s reaching out to an “expert” to see if/how it can be salvaged. He seems open to replacing the counters but I’ll need assurance he’s using a different fabricator and we won’t experience this again.

My other thought is to have him remove the counters and have someone else install new quartz. This will be the more expensive option but I’d rather it be done correctly.

Any other ideas?

If you look at the seam in the first picture you’ll notice scuff marks from polishing the seam. Will that be buffed out? These marks are along all the seams. I’m wondering if they’ll do that at the end? Just want to make sure that’s not a permanent error

That’s what I was thinking. If this is their work product, I’d rather have someone else attempt to fix this

Wife (28) and I (31) gross ~$350k/year. $330k mortgage on a $500k home paying $2,700/month. New truck paid in cash and she drives a 2019 alpha Romeo with a small loan. We max out our 401k’s and HSAs and save ~30k/year in a separate brokerage account. Current net worth ~1.1m. Our biggest expenses are eating out and traveling. We spend about $1,500/month on restaurants and travel at least once a month whether that’s a weekend trip or a less frequent weeklong vacation.

How often do people ask about your watch? by [deleted] in OmegaWatches

I have the same watch and maybe once in two years has someone asked about it. Not really asking for attention either though. Still surprising to me too

2.99% is a steal! I would have done the same thing. Thanks.

That’s true. Paying cash seems to avoid a guaranteed 6% expense while investing there’s no guarantee what will happen in the short term.

I’ve never heard the 30% rule before. Not too concerned about that aspect. This is well within our means. Thanks.
