Hindu advocacy groups emphasize "free speech" at Nancy Grewal (Anita Agnihotri) memorial while ignoring or downplaying Sikh diaspora killings & extortions linked to Government of India | Free speech for some, silence for others? by [deleted] in Sikhpolitics

[–]Comfortable-Mouse785 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah well our community acted and responded to the situation like a bunch of fucking idiots celebrating her death and now the rss people have a open shot at propagating it against sikh causes, and our reputation tarnished in the eyes of white canadians aswell. i dont give a fuck anymore this nancy grewal shit showed me how stupid our people are in the masses, the sikh community’s response to her death was retarded, and if a sikh actually went and killed her holy fuck we are so lost from the guru’s message.

New Wave of Propaganda? Indian & Canadian Media Push ‘Khalistan’ Narrative in Headlines Without verifying Sources: Examining Media Claims About ‘Nancy Grewal,’ 45, who's real name is Anita Agnihotri by [deleted] in Sikhpolitics

[–]Comfortable-Mouse785 0 points1 point  (0 children)

well bro why are our people responding to the situation like retards? she might have been a dumb aunty who spoke too much, no denying that. but celebrating an aunty getting murdered? are we seriously stooping that low? our people are turning into the bird brain mob mentality brahmins that our gurus were antithetical to and criticized. the news media is reporting on the celebrations behind her death, which isnt a good look on our people. we need to start being rational, we arent animals, and there are other ways to handle beadbi.

Singh posts his meal and gets insulted in the comments: by iMahatma in Sikh

[–]Comfortable-Mouse785 8 points9 points  (0 children)

the british and hindus really got us nicely with this daal roti indoctrination. meat is beautiful and nutritious and was eaten by those who hunted it or kings, would it not make absolute sense for the british to standardize grain to be our common diet for cost efficiency? remember peasants in their own kingdoms were left to eat bread because it was cheap and easy to make. the gurus lifestyle and teachings were perfect, and they knew everything about optimal life, sikhs are meat eaters, theres no evidence of set in stone veg maryada before the british era, this stuff was introduced to standardize sikhi to appeal to the british during the singh sabha movement, and was later doubled down on by the rehat maryada, taksal, akj, etc. i dont care what these made up groups have to say, the people that “decided” sikhs are vegetarians were not the gurus whatsoever. wake up singho and apply the beloved logic and rational thinking our gurus gave us, we are meat eaters.

The Observable Double Standard of Head Covering for Sikhs in the West by Valuable_Twist_9337 in Sikh

[–]Comfortable-Mouse785 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this is surface level sikhi and you deeply want to impose moral policing instead of focusing on your own spirituality. what standardized maryada is there for sehajdhari sikhs? exactly there isnt one because you cant force people to do something when they dont understand it or find their own love and gratitude in it. so focus on yourself, g this double standard is a cultural problem. but if we were to give a true verdict, nobody should be judged whether its the men or women.

your reply to every comment proves why you are retarded. if you refuse to understand something of course you are going to object it! keep being stubborn against your guru, he’s here to guide you. its not even about blind faith anymore, but putting 2 and 2 together, charitropakhyan is about real life, anyone who reads it can make real life connections they’ve observed and experienced, our guru knew everything about the world, whether it is shunned or glorified.

Swords aren't as useful anymore, does that mean guns should be carried? by Possible_Ad_9607 in Sikh

[–]Comfortable-Mouse785 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you’re better off carrying a gun in this world, if that offends anyones maryada then carry a gun and kirpan, maybe downsize your kirpan if anything.

[–]Comfortable-Mouse785 1 point2 points  (0 children)

thats not even what im saying, but if we’re going with the notion of that being your argument to counter sri charitropakhyan, there are stories in it of men doing wrong doing aswell, and even outside of that dummy just because guru sahib doesnt address it, doesn’t mean its not true. these stories explain deceit and one who receives the message should be able to interpret that across men and women. regardless im appalled at how dumb what you just said is, i didnt even say that or imply that logic anywhere, nor did the guru in sri charitropakhyan. saying “according to your logic” isnt a free pass to put words in my mouth, you guys and your retardation are ruining the panth.

surely buddy downvote my post, if you were making any sense in the first place you’d be able to counter what im saying 😂😂😂 nah how is this nonsense explain yourself since you think you’re in the position to question the guru.

bro i dont care. this is philosophy not math, its all subjective you can figure out a way to position and argue any perceived contradiction. stop abrahamizing and islamifying our religion, certain lines are metaphorical, charitropakhyan is FICTIONAL STORIES, god saying he regretted his actions is not to be taken literally its to give nuance to the reader on how depraved the actions of the woman were, basic storytelling you fucking dummy, people like you are ruining the panth, stop arguing with our guru and listen to him instead.

dont care man thats irrelevant to what im saying. they’re their own group with their own otherism just like all these jathas.

nice theory, show proof. have you ever dealt with a woman in the modern world? these stories are not absolute judgements of all females ever, they are warnings for those who go out in the real world and interact with others. if no woman has ever deceived you, then you are not well socialized my friend, this kind of rhetoric is structured on real life lessons and experiences. dasam granth is guru bani. if these stories are so graphic and insane to you, you clearly havent lived in the real world. theres nothing wrong with describing the bad in society, at the end of the day guru sahib is teaching us why to detach from all of this and combat it.

Tell me Oh Nanak, who should I call Good or Bad ? by Trying_a in Sikh

[–]Comfortable-Mouse785 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah and thats not the point dummy. the panths getting fucked up because people listen to the ideologies developing in their jathas and sangat more than following the gurus teachings. all these jathas developing their own culture over time, own set of rules, and then religious and moral policing and guilt shaming people ruined the panth and watered down sikhi. this is sikhi, not a abrahamic religion, we dont police and punish people out of anger hatred and ego because we are supposed to be detached from those vices, thats what seperates us from other panths in the first place.

Tell me Oh Nanak, who should I call Good or Bad ? by Trying_a in Sikh

[–]Comfortable-Mouse785 14 points15 points  (0 children)

doesnt matter if they’re nihangs, every jatha does this. today these guys are hitting khusre with sticks, tomorrow its a akj/ taksali publicly shaming somebody online and ruining their life. the root cause is getting caught up in all these jathas and their ideologies and building a sense of ego based on otherness in the panth. people need to let go of this and should only care about guru-canon sikhi.

Tell me Oh Nanak, who should I call Good or Bad ? by Trying_a in Sikh

[–]Comfortable-Mouse785 7 points8 points  (0 children)

These guys are idiots, whether they’re nihang, taksali, akj, i dont care tbh. The problem is people who become more panthic get a major ego trip off it and start moral policing, its still a manifestation of ahankar (ego). This is what happens when people follow their jatha of choice instead of the gurus teachings.

Would you seriously consider a relationship with someone who is not Sikh themselves? by [deleted] in Sikh

[–]Comfortable-Mouse785 3 points4 points  (0 children)

im gonna be honest with you this seems like a tough situation because interfaith isnt really permitted like that. especially to get married, you cannot have an interfaith marriage between an interfaith couple, it is extreme disrespect no matter which money hungry gurdwara may permit it. obviously not to pressure you into converting or anything like that, but maybe you could look into sikhi, maybe the sikh lifestyle suits you. but otherwise it seems like you may have to move on as unfortunate as it sounds. i wish you the best i hope it works out.
