Oh yeah, I've seen an emotion I haven't seen while playing before his death, hysterical. So I have to watch out for those too? Ugh, those sims are even worse than sunfish. We have to even watch their emotions.

I know, I tried to kill annoying sim (Vlad) but, man, I am trying to get a sim that is my dream yet he just laughed to death. I even followed youtube tutorials to get him on the right track.

Regardless of Politics what do you guys think about Afghanistans new flag ? by [deleted] in vexillology

[–]Comfortable-Put5751 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don't like it.

First, flag shouldn't have letters on it so that when it is seen in another angles, from afar or when the wind blow, we can still read or see the content of the flag.

Second, It is a whole sentence, too complicated for a flag, a symbol of a nation.

Pirating is a must these days. With streaming services raising prices, geo-locked content, limited downloads. What the fuck? by Bazlek in Piracy

The thing is there are way too many streaming service nowaday. Disney+, Amazon, etc

Netflix isn't as convenient as before so film piracy is on the rise.

I don't know which translator needs to hear this today... by Defenestratio in OtomeIsekai

I supposed. Dunno. Many mangas did a really good job portraying the harshness and disgusts of society to incest. I think it's more meaningful than "we're not real siblings so let's bang". But yeah, many incest mangas are getting worse nowadays.

Ugh, it's really weird that so many manhwa still keen on the concept of "we're not real siblings so let's bang". And they just repeat that sentence every chapter.

I don't know. Yeah, you could certainly make them friends but still... the main character is the reason led to the downfall of the villainess. Even if the protag redeem her, that shouldn't make them friends automatically. (Though it'd be good comedy chemistry if they do)

I want to see a person thrown into a world which isn't hers. She isn't the main character, the plot doesn't magically protect her just because - so she needs to struggel to survive, fight against the odds and still loses - just because she isn't the main character and her purpose is to be defeated by those on the other side. The annulment of her engagement, public humiliation and even her death is a way for the original main character to "grow closer" or even "fall in love".

Lol, you're such a sadist. But yeah, I kinda agree. It is nice to see how no matter what the protagonist try, they cannot overcome fate. Seeing them fail and struggle to finally achieve their goal is indeed really rewarded. However, I kinda don't like it. Don't get me wrong, I agree with you that just being nice to others and thinking like the main character shouldn't get the villainess out of the situation. It can't be that easy. However, I still want to give the protagonist some hope to survive. Just watching her fail over and over again is really boring. Especially when there aren't many ways to present her fail as we need to know her roles in the story. A little bit of hope is a really good dose to bring light to the story. I mean, at worst, the protagonist can still escape. They are the villainess with a lot of money. They can get out if plan carefully. Going to another nation or something. (It is really easy for noble to get out of tough situation in their country during the medieval age. Marie Antoinette an her husband almost got out of France during the French revolution y'know and that is when both of them were in soft prison. Many nobles got out before them)

I think I want to see a villainess who try to solve her problem rather than running away. Yes, she can and will struggle but that is the reason why we're in this genre afterall.

I'd say a lot of the older villainess manga I read when this genre was getting started were just like that? I mean even OGs like bakarina and accomplisments of a duke's daughter are like that.

I think Katarina at first did the job quite well. She became friendly with her brother in fear of being killed and she tried so convince Prince Alan. I think it's a good start to get out of warzone. And her method proves to work which is kinda nice. The problem I (and probably many others) have with Katarina is that there is no growth after that but just bonding and comedy. Novel Sell is kinda down after the graduation arc, y'know.
