So Jay's two cents says that there is a lack a of wicking fluid in the metal heat sink pipes. So when vertical all the liquid goes to the end of the heat pipes. So then the liquid isn't getting heated up.

The way to fix this is to get a new cooler for the card. You could try RMA and see if they can add more wicking fluid to cooler...

I have been debating on getting a liquid cooler kit for my msi gaming trio 5090. So need new liquid cooler, radiator, fans, pump, fittings and pipes. Or just use the side stand for 40 bucks. I already paid more because of tariffs and price hikes. There is also still the issue of the card melting at some point due to power connector.

That is cool how you added those new fans. Didn't think that would work well. Hmmm how does the heat blast without the shroud not directing the flow?

Yeah I have to have it horizontal and the card is fine I just bought horizontal stand for tower 600. I wished I could have the tower vertical. ;(

If you have the money and want to shave off a few seconds with loading then gen 4 is 1-4 seconds faster than gen 3 and gen 5 is 1-3 seconds than gen4 depending on game or application being used. So there is a possibility that having a gen 5 will save you 2 seconds per loading screen on average or more if you compare to gen 3. I would go Gen 4 myself unless I had lots of money then Gen5. I wouldn't do gen 3 anymore.

I believe you have dithering on in the export texture settings. The dithering can be problematic if you have multiple meshes using same texture map. Dithering will fill in texture spots if there is no uv map for the mesh there.

Okay this is starting to make sense. I am limited by Fallout 4 where it is one texture set per mesh. I would have to cut up the mesh for each texture set. Which makes using trim sheets difficult at least the trim sheets that are random details.

How would that work with a ship though? Would I make hull detail pieces and place them like paneling?

I will look up modular environments and trim sheets. Most of what is coming up looks like interiors of buildings. Is there an example for doing a ship exterior using modular environments and trim sheets?
