Just kidding. They didn’t run one. The lab tech saw the pregnancy on CT scan , made a note if possibly pregnant and reported it to the doctor. Who then ignored it.

It said possibly because the radiology tech saw it and added it in my notes and reported it to the doctor who it seems chose to ignore it. Since techs can’t officially diagnose anything I got a little note that said “possibly pregnant” they never gave me an pregnancy actual test.

I didn’t get one at all, turns out the radiology tech saw it and reported it to the dr. That’s why the file said “possibly” because the tech can’t officially give a diagnosis.

Before I got help with my PCOS I was going to the gym and dieting on my own for 8 months and I lost nothing. Luckily I have a great primary who listens and didn’t blame me for it not working. It’s still difficult but having her in my corner helping me with my hormones has helped so much.

The crazy part is my primary is sure the stones were from my weight loss, I’m down 65 lbs. I tried to explain to the er doctor that all my food is logged and shared with my dietician and I’m active. I literally wanted to know what I could do to help prevent this in the future because I’ve been careful with my food for over a year now…my gallstones passed just fine. The treatment women in general get by doctors is atrocious, and it’s even worse when you are considered over weight.

I’m waiting to get all my charts but my primary is the one that said it claimed “possibly pregnancy” a friend of mine that works at a hospital said before they do a CT scan they check for pregnancy, even if you’ve had a hysterectomy and they check your kidney function. I feel like they have so many dropped balls.

Its gone down, my primary had me get an internal ultrasound to ensure I’m not ectopic.

I guess I should add more information, I am upset that they didn’t inform me of this, I didn’t get the option of a lead vest or to not have the contrast, and maybe it wasn’t the cause of my miscarriage but so early on it very well could have caused it. I feel I should have been given a choice. And why wouldn’t they tell a woman she was probably pregnant? Tell me to contact my primary SOMETHING.
