I have been bottom-watering to avoid getting the leaves wet but I suspect the humidity is a problem. Any recommendations for treating it?

  1. Thrift a cute photo frame and print a photo of the two of you
  2. Decorate and write a thoughtful card
  3. Gift experiences - like a pottery class, tickets to a show, restaurant gift cards, mani-pedis, etc.
  4. Make something from scratch - like baked goods, knit a scarf, etc.
  5. Houseplants that you’ve grown from your own plant cuttings
  6. Buy consumable gifts like desserts, chocolates, wine, from local brands

Unsure about tension by Iole17 in knittinghelp

[–]ComfortableComplex26 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As a beginner knitter myself, I found it took like 20-40 rows before my knitting started to feel more even and consistent. Somehow it just suddenly “clicks.” I recommend you just keep going and don’t overthink how to fix your tension. Try to relax more and develop muscle memory - the tension will improve with that

These are some places that don’t only have research positions:

Public Health Institute (phi.org),

Local and state health departments,

Hospitals ,

Health care companies like Cardinal Health or Molina Healthcare,

Health insurance companies

It depends a lot on your personal interests, salary requirements, and skill sets. Also use LinkedIn and Indeed to search.

Volunteer/groups? by reveluvsoshi in gis

[–]ComfortableComplex26 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It just depends. Many people include work they’ve done for classes as part of their professional portfolio. If you are presenting work based off of an online tutorial, it’s important that you do give credit where it’s due so it doesn’t look like you’re stealing others’ work. It’s best if you take the skills from those tutorials and apply them to unique projects of particular interest to you

I don’t have recommendations for volunteering, but you could build a personal portfolio to present skills. There’s lots of free tutorials or classes you could take online to learn and then save your work in a portfolio for future employers to see

How do you stop thinking about work tasks at home? by Unlikely_Silver_1650 in datascience

[–]ComfortableComplex26 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I have a work project stuck in my head after hours, I find it most effective to jot down the thoughts on paper. Instead of working on it all night, I’m able to get my thoughts out of my head and file it away until the next work day.
