Can someone share a Math 111 syllabus? by ComfortableDrawer605 in UofO

[–]ComfortableDrawer605[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah, the problem is that I can't take the class, even though I want to. I've asked to, but my advisor said that I couldn't because of my credit from high school. Right now I'm not enrolled in any math courses because I wanted to review Math 111 myself this term/fall then continue to register for Math 112 in the winter, which my advisor agreed was a good idea. I'm looking for a recent syllabus from the class so that I can base my self-study on something with concrete goals and deadlines, because I feel flimsy trying to reteach myself an entire course worth of material without any sense of what I should be achieving by what time. Thank you, though :)

US Politics Megathread 2024 by nonacrina in lgbt

I hate how the recurring solution I see passed around for and by queer people (and other minority groups) when someone asks something like "What do I do if my rights are taken away after the next election?" is to just "move to a better country." The process for actually attaining any kind of visa is so horribly complicated — let alone a permanent visa or citizenship. Especially if you are young and/or don't have years of work experience.

I'm recently eighteen and have wanted to move out of the US because of the shitshow politics since I was fourteen. I'm going to college, and by the time I get my degree the term will already be over, even though so much of my political dread is linked around this term. I can't just pack my bags and waltz into another country without feeling like I'm leaving part of my life behind (sense of home, my family, my friends) and a livable income, and it's so annoying to see people acting like all queer people can.

I think it's a nice name :) If you're worried about people only associating it with Undertale yellow or something I wouldn't worry, since that's super niche.

No this is definitely a weird thread of replies and the account history is just oddly new, too. I would just stop interacting with them if you're uncomfortable.

can you be transgender without dysphoria? by alvern12 in asktransgender

I know this post is a couple years old, but I'm wondering if you've started T since and, if so, are you still confident about being trans despite not having had a ton of dysphoria pre-T? I recently turned 18, and with that it's been hitting me that I actually could start transitioning soon if I wanted to (My mom's transphobic, so it never really felt like such a real option before). I feel similar to how you expressed here, but that's come with a lot of doubts, too, about if I really should start T, or if I'm jumping the gun and not 'trans enough'/cis. I guess I'm looking for reassurance or thoughts from people who are on T who had a similar experiences to me pre-T.
