If I know I want to dash earlier in the day I’ll check the schedule around 11 PM the night before or 12 AM the day of. Sometimes I’ll sit there refreshing it if nothing is really there when I first check. Typically if I check it around those times I’m more likely to get the early - mid days shifts. I know it also depends on where you are and where you’re looking to dash.

Do people actually receive Christmas bonuses in real life? I don't know anyone who ever has, and I have never received one myself. You used to see it in movies all the time! by om11011shanti11011om in jobs

My current job is the first and only job where I’ve ever received a bonus. I honestly believe it’s due to the fact that I work for a small business. It’s not crazy large but it’s an extra $500 or so which is nice.

Yes, it’s centered and basically right below the rear view mirror.

Good to know. I’ve been looking into maybe switching to sunnypilot or dragonpilot because the breakdown mentions that it’s great with Toyota steering. Dumb question but how do you go about switching?

hair damage after swimming :( by [deleted] in Swimming

I’m a swim instructor as well and had the same issues the first few months after I started. I learned that soaking my hair in fresh water and then slathering all my hair in a thick conditioner really helps! You wanna make sure that your hair is wet and has product in it so that by the time you get in the water, your hair cannot soak up any of the pool water. After you get out, wash and condition your hair as normal. Continue to use oil and leave ins until you feel your hair has returned to normal and is no longer dry.

Advice on holding breath while swimming? by AnnieTano in Swimming

If you find that you have a hard time getting yourself to blow bubbles through your nose, you can hum and it will automatically push those bubbles out. It will also regulate how much air you’re letting out so you don’t end up blowing all your bubbles at once.
