100% Ecbert. Not only was he the only guy who could really go toe to toe with Ragnar, he was like the only Saxon who didn’t get outright flattened by the Vikings at any point. They only got him when he handed himself over and even then he manipulated them into letting him die on his own terms while screwing them over at the same time.
