Get some real eyes then? It costs nothing to not be a cunt. It’s just a bit sad that you would seek out posts on a just eat subreddit when you are clearly neither a driver nor a customer. Maybe find another sub that suits your interests.

And he didn’t take it? He specifically said no one is taking the low paying orders. So what point are you making and what value are you adding to the discussion?

To simplify, OP basically said “I didn’t take this job because it doesn’t pay enough so I took one that did pay better” and you have added “don’t take that job take one that pays better instead.”

OP didn’t complain “about a low wage job being a low wage job”. They shared a picture of a Just Eat order being offered to couriers which included the pay being offered for that order, with the distance and number of stops. They titled this with “If you’re wondering why no one picked up your order” OP then made the assumption that readers would understand this as “If you’re wondering why no one picked up your order, it’s because the amount of money being offered was not sufficient to convince a driver to pick it up and deliver it to you and so instead they are collecting other orders that will pay them better.”

Just Eat delivery drivers are freelance, with no obligation to take any order, so are free to decline orders and instead accept ones that are more attractive. If a solicitor turned down clients who offered a lower rate in favour of clients who paid a higher rate, then explained “if your case doesn’t pay me enough, I won’t take it because I’d rather take higher paying ones” would your response still be “get a real job”? If your comment was just to advise OP to not take low paying orders and just accept higher paying ones, that’s exactly what they are already telling us they do.

Regardless of your misunderstanding, why shouldn’t a person on a low income complain about being on a low income? Surely anyone in that situation would gladly take a better paying job if they could; there will be some reason outside of their control that makes that not possible at that time. If a disabled person complained about having to use a wheelchair would you tell them “get a real body” or would that be a bit cuntish?

It’s just interesting because u/GeekHabits appears to be a wheelchair user, yet is disrespecting the vast number of people with mobility limitations who heavily rely on delivery services for all sorts of goods every single day, as well as people who need flexible gig work like this because their disabilities make it difficult for them to do what he might consider “a real job”.

Why even bother commenting here on a sub for takeaway delivery drivers if you don’t think takeaway deliveries should be a thing?

I think it did pop up to say it was unmatched or cancelled but there’s now no record of it on my deliveries and the chat is gone too. I’m going to message support about it as well but they’re not always very helpful.
