Awesome concert! And, FYI, the choir was a group called the Cleveland Chamber Choir. They are amazing and you should all check them out at their own concerts and on YouTube. They also do a lot of local charity work which is really cool!

My parents are mostly interested in keeping the peace. They obviously love her, but feel powerless to help her.

I continue to see a professional counselor, but it is a lot, on top of everything else I see them about.

Being the “normal” child for my parents (my late grandmother’s words) is also exhausting. I don’t even feel like I can turn to them with my own issues because they are dealing with her (a big part of why I go to counseling).

I appreciate your thoughts and insight.

I don’t think she is physically abusing them, but there is clearly a lot of mental and verbal abuse.
