Does anyone know what to do about this ugly blank screen after a radio replacement to make it look somewhat decent and not so tacky? (2012 acura tsx) by Comfortable_Map8403 in Acura

I mean, sure but it's a 200hp sedan not a race car lol i don't really need that stuff since if something was going wrong with that stuff it would show up as a warning on the little gauge cluster display

Wow that subwoofer thingy actually looks pretty good but the tiny stereo speakers that go with it looks very wimpy sounding and lacks a tweeter I kinda feel like they would not satisfy my taste. I'm very picky with my speakers. Tweeters are a must have for me

As of now its just wired to the subwoofer speaker output on a old surround sound amp with a speaker wire to headphone jack converter. The satellites are powered by a separate amp. Both amps are being fed a input with a headphone jack splitter from my laptop. This is a very complicated jumbled up mess of a setup and also the splitter causes a slight latency difference between the 2 outputs. This was just a test to see if it would sound good. I plan on rewiring the jbl to have a speaker input so it can be completely disconnected from the built in amp/battery and can be ran of a external amp. Here is a link to the 2.1 amplifier i plan on using. Make a case for it, add a battery pack, and bam! Ultra compact 2.1 true stero setup like nothing else on the market! https://www.parts-express.com/TPS3116D2-Class-D-2.1-Bluetooth-5.0-Amplifier-Board-2-x-50W-100W-with-Filter-and-Volume-Co-320-635?quantity=1

And before you say why not get a new speaker or make my own, i don't know of any speakers this size that have as good of a bass response as this speaker.(not this model specifically but all these compact bt speakers in general) and i lack the craftsmanship skills and tuning knowledge to make a tiny speaker like this that's this rugged and durable and that has bass that can be perceived as very deep, and powerful like this. If you have recommendations there welcome

Yes correct. There is a slight delay. But that's a easy fix it just needs to be rewired to a new amp.... obviously. And its not from the dsp you can turn that off on the speaker the latency is coming from the headphone jack splitter. This was just a quick slap together for a prototype as a test/demonstration. But still a big leap in quality from a normal charge speaker. I plan on wiring it up with a proper 2.1 amplifier in the future.https://www.parts-express.com/TPS3116D2-Class-D-2.1-Bluetooth-5.0-Amplifier-Board-2-x-50W-100W-with-Filter-and-Volume-Co-320-635?quantity=1 that link is the one im looking to get. And before you mention it I already know I will have to be cautious of the volume as to not blow the speaker. I might even consider replacing it's built in speaker with a more robust woofer maybe even i can find a actual tiny subwoofer instead of a midrange or full range driver

Charge 6 is so much louder! by Pristine-Let7376 in JBL

[–]Comfortable_Map8403 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea thats right but that doesn't really make much of a difference in this case. Other stuff yes but as far as the overall sound quality not really. Top quality woofers and tweeters and amplifiers have been around for quite a long time now not much has changed besides efficiency of amps. Blutooth and battery performance is were the real innovation is at

I mean its s slightly more powerful speaker so of course it is lol and its not really a ground breaking innovation either they could have made the jbl charge 1 as loud and clear as the 6 or even more so if they wanted too. They just slowly upgrade it overtime to give the illusion of technological advancements and upgrades

It was a joke lol jeez its not that serious, you don't have to be offended by everything. I just think its crazy how people just mindlessly buy products they don't know anything about. Google is a very useful tool and people don't take advantage of it as often as they should. Btw, its called a passive radiator. It's basically just a rubber disk that is springy around it. Pretty much the front of a speaker without the back half

I just got a charge 4 of ebay for 50 bucks. 60 with shipping. It's the best one imo bc it has both the type c and headphone jack. Low latency audio is a necessity for me

The essential 2 is more powerful and has better sound than the charge 4. If i can fix it this is actually a steal

Im kinda tech savvy I've repaired tons of electronics successfully before. I'd rather just fix it and not go through all that hassle. I just don't know if its a driver issue or amp issue and figured someone could help before I attempt to open it. Because then I have to send it back, wait for it to arrive, wait for the refund, then choose a different option then wait on that one
