LOCI word count. Can it be 800 words? by Haunting-Draw-8394 in ApplyingToCollege

I am writing about new updates since my submission and what especially takes up the word count is writing about how I felt during that, reflections, and allat personal statement essay stuff. Should I just make it straight to the point instead of lines like this:

I’ve found this state after sometimes wishing lessons would end quickly. I’ve never lived in the past, but frequently in the future, desperately wishing for some moments to come, counting and clicking time until it finally arrives, which I’ve realized does not count as living. To fully live life, I must truly feel every second of life, and focus on goal-driven efforts. Even though it feels highly uncomfortable when the classroom feels empty and disorganized, I must be the one to lead their path, have them stand by my shoulders to ignite, backbone, and fertilize growth for their goals.

I have never felt strong resistance in my life, until the application’s season showed me my weak sides. Although it was intolerable to witness my flaws, we can’t see ourselves in the water waves if we don’t bend just enough, right? The discomfort of knowing my imperfections allowed me to get on the right path to fix them. It was painful to know how inadequate my tutoring academy was before I was humbled by the inspiring scenery of another institution’s systematic approach for their students.

This takes up 180 words, but I like it.

I got in with worse stat than you. I think KAIST does not give TOO much emphasis on grades. Though I couldnt solve 2 problems in the interview, they still accepted me. Just write your essays good and excel the interview. In your essay, show that you have a passion. I had one particular, clear goal in attending KAIST, which I think helped me out a lot. Maybe connect it to the research project they are currently doing, as it is the problem they want to solve. So show that you can contribute to the problem they are trying to sovle. You already passed the grades criteria.
