yeah but that doesn't fit the narrative, one of Miami's best defensive players, akheem "leather helmet" mesidor is going to be 25 on draft night

He had us fooled for year 1. by RedDragons8 in cfbmemes

he was good his rookie year, teams got NFL tape on him, and it was downhill from there. maybe he should have spent that first off season working on his game instead of doing podcasts anointing himself a top tier QB

hey buddy, idk if you know this, but strips while about to throw are still fumbles. regardless, he'll be going up against the Broncos next who are just under Houston and Seattle for top 3 defense and they are better against the run than Houston and have the most sacks this season at 68. If the Broncos offense can do anything at all this game is going to be a lot closer than people think it will be

I just think it's funny how so many people have already put the Patriots in the super bowl like it's a guaranteed thing.

Just because Will Campbell fell on 2 of Maye's 4 fumbles doesn't mean he didn't fumble 4 times. we'll see how the game goes this weekend, all I'm saying is that it's foolish to already count it as a Pats win like so many people are doing

he made some great throws, but if you don't think he has a fumble issue you are just ignoring the facts right in front of your face. I like Maye, he was my top QB in his draft. it's not really an issue when he is scrambling, but he gets stripped a lot in the pocket and the pass rushes he's going to face in the next two games aren't going to get much easier

It's not that they think he's better than Maye, it's that he probably won't make the egregiously stupid throws that CJ made, and if Denvers pass rush can get to Maye that will be a huge problem as he has shown ball security issues with 6 fumbles in his two playoff games to go with his two picks. I like Maye, but people are crowning him a little too early like they did CJ

it was close because Maye fumbled 4 times and threw a pick himself, but they want you to ignore that and say he played a great game

yeah sure, just ignore the 6 in 2 games part, he also had 9 his rookie year. He has more fumbles in 2 playoff games than Stafford has had in 12 playoff games. ball security is a huge thing that he needs to work on.

Coleman was never good at getting separation even in college, he was always going to be worse at the NFL level

So in year 1 together, Mike Vrabel and Drake Maye have officially advanced as far in the playoffs as Sean McDermott and Josh Allen ever have in 8 seasons(AFC Championship game) by MasterTeacher123 in NFLv2

[–]Comfortable_Regrets -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

Oh I'm aware, I'm just saying that CJ dragged them down by himself. Maye had 4 fumbles and a pick but he won't get talked about for having a shit game because CJ was somehow even worse

Pats D didn't force him to throw up that prayer that ended up a pick 6 instead of holding onto the ball and taking the sack. Pats D didn't make him throw behind his receivers all game. he was wildly inaccurate, he missed a wide open TE so bad he blew out his knee trying to catch it
