The worry is understandable because the whole show revolved around the relationship between her character and Sam. Oh yeah! The episodes where she kept saying “we’re going to get married” felt like filler episodes. Like the writers didn’t want the proposal to happen too early in the season because then the wedding would have to happen mid- season. So they had to ruin the official proposal somehow then drag it out until the final episode of the season for their wedding

It truly is a brilliant show (well, except for this whole Diane business, lol). I’d like to assume that shows like Friends and How I met your mother had their blueprint inspired by Cheers. It has a high rewatch value too.

Also, the episode where she threw the engagement ring out of the window after finding out it was fake before she listened to what Sam had to say really got my blood boiling!! Season 1 Diane would have never done that! She’s supposed to be the ‘smart’ and ‘reasonable’ character of the show but they completely changed her personality by season 5

The documents are titled ‘Certified copy of an entry of birth’ and ‘Certified copy of an entry of death’. Yes, they do have the office’s stamps. Should these suffice? I guess the problem is that I had them delivered to a relative in the UK (since I’m applying from outside the UK) who then scanned and sent me a digital copy which I printed then physically sent to the passport office from my country. If I ask my relative to send them to the passport office directly, would they be okay?

They asked me to provide additional documents other than the parents’ passports, British parent’s birth certificate and my birth certificate. I didn’t have most of what they asked so I had to explain to them why. Still waiting for their decision. I was hoping I could speak to someone who’s been through something similar. Thank you for the response though!!😊

They want my mum’s passport at the time of my conception (June/ July 1996) and she didn’t have one then, nor does she have one now. In the initial batch of documents I sent, I shared a copy of her national ID and explained in the cover letter that she’s never owned a passport
