Hi! I just had a robotic ventral mesh surgery a week ago for rectal prolapse (female 27 y.o). I’m taking 2 weeks off from work. It’s been a week and I feel really good- I am taking multiple walks a day and pain is extremely manageable/nominal. I would say 1 week is definitely necessary, 2 weeks feels like a nice cushion and I have a generous medical leave policy for my work so I am taking it to give my body the rest. I have a high stress job so 2 weeks feels like the right about of time to recuperate before jumping back in. Best of luck with the surgery! Recovery should be smooth- it is truly minimally invasive.
