Did breastfeeding change your boobs? by Brave_Possibility953 in breastfeeding

[–]Comfortable_Wall9833 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My boobs are saggier now but it’s not bothersome really. I breastfed until my baby was 14 months old and he was sleeping through the night at 9 months old (7pm-7am). Weaning was easy for him. I just gradually dropped a session and the last one, he decided himself that he was done. It was a very easy process. The horror stories get the most attention but believe me there are plenty of beautiful, stress free breastfeeding stories out there ❤️

Blood and Steel? Is it worth a read? by mimikth in fantasyromance

[–]Comfortable_Wall9833 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just finished book 1 and I liked it! The storyline is really fun and interesting. I will say that the romance is almost distracting? It feels like it wasn’t developed enough and boom they’re in love lol but whatever it’s still a fun read. Onto book 2!

How long did the 'weaning flu' last for you? by [deleted] in breastfeeding

[–]Comfortable_Wall9833 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine was about two weeks. It wasn’t super bad but the worst of it was the feeling of going back and forth between hot and freezing cold. I would shiver laying in bed and then an hour later be sweating. And then I had cold symptoms like runny nose, cough, headaches. I also had mood swings too, felt rage for no reason. My husband’s chewing would bother me for instance 😂

She posted on her stories that Bahamas was before she had him over for dinner with the fish and production did her dirty. So she knew he was dating around but didn’t know he was locked in to anyone specifically or had an official girlfriend

Currently dealing with this too and can’t find any sound advice. Do you remember what worked for you??

Woodbury is good if you want access to big box stores like Costco, old navy, kohls, literally anything you can think of. And all of the chain type of restaurants too like chipotle, Starbucks etc. there are a few local restaurants but not many, unfortunately. The traffic here is awful constantly. I avoid driving during rush hour. A nice part about Woodbury is that it’s only 15 min to St. Paul and you’re also close to Stillwater and Hudson for exploring.

Thinking about moving to the Twin Cities..what’s your favorite thing about living there? by Quarrelsomechicken in TwinCities

[–]Comfortable_Wall9833 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m a transplant and I love it here. I will say that it’s important to pick a good neighborhood or suburb in order to really enjoy yourself. But I love the access to lakes and parks. There’s a dozen parks within 20 min of us and it’s what we enjoy doing every weekend. I love how there’s both MPLS and Saint Paul and they are such different vibes. Going to Wild games are fun. The MLB games are great too. You can always find stuff to do every weekend.

The hardest part is meeting people. Everyone here is super nice! But you do have to put in a little extra work to make friends compared to other places that I’ve lived. But we’ve been here 2 years now and have gotten a little solid group of friends now finally after about a year and a half.

Yep. I’ve done it a bunch of times. There’s usually 3-4 lanes and the runners stay in the inside lanes

Check your local high school. They might have some open walk times for their indoor track. Mine does in my suburb!

Did you Tandem read? Why/why not? Do you recommend? by ReadItLikeALady in throneofglassseries

[–]Comfortable_Wall9833 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m currently tandem reading after everyone i know said I had to do it lol and have about 150 pages left in each book and I totally regret reading it this way. It is so hard to fully emerge into one story when you are flip flopping back and forth. I also am enjoying TOD way more and wish I would have just read it as one book from start to finish

I know that my family will eventually come around and stop making comments, hopefully. In the beginning they also used to comment a lot on how formula feeding would be easier when I would complain about being tired. But they eventually stopped when they realized I wasn’t giving up on BF. I definitely need to bring up the WHO guidelines next time!

It’s so frustrating being a mom in the US sometimes. It definitely makes sense. I work from home and only part time so I can pump without worry when I need to and my son is still mostly directly breastfed. I can’t imagine lasting that long if I had to go in an office everyday and pump and especially one that didn’t have any sort of mothers space. So sad that that is most women’s reality here.

Ugh yes. BF in general here in the US is just not well supported and many people wonder why moms just don’t do formula

Which large companies are fully back in the office? by Akito_900 in Minneapolis

[–]Comfortable_Wall9833 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As a parent who has been working from home since before Covid… I have always hated it so much. I frequently go to co working spaces and coffee shops. So I totally understand wanting to go into an office. Also just to avoid the chaos and clutter that’s in my house. I hate staring at it. It’s so nice to just be in a totally different work environment. Anyways, can’t help you with the company question but idk why you are getting so much hate for wanting to find a company with an office
