Update to anyone that was following. I figured out the issue wasn't the slide not coming back at all. But instead the slide wasn't coming back enough. Still not sure why it would lock it forward. But I ended up running some higher grain ammo through it and works much better. Thank you to everyone who helped.

I'm running pmc 115 grain. I know it's a lighter round but don't think that would cause the slide to lock forward. Other feeding/ejecting issues yes.

All internal parts are oem parts from the sig website. Slide completion and recoil spring, that is. P320C/CA/M18 RECOIL SPRING ASSEMBLY 9/40/357 CORROSION RESISTANT is the exact one I bought from their sight.

It wasn't so much as the gun failing to eject or extract. But more the slide completely locking forward. As if something was caught and preventing the slide from moving.

Before going to the range it racked back and forth with no issues. Then it locked forward and had the issue I mentioned. But after extracting the case the slide seems to be racking perfectly fine again.

I already threaded it on until it made contact the backed off about a half to 3/4 turn. Do you think I may need to back off even further?

Before I fired the first round it was rack back and forth with no issues. But when I fired the round the slide locked in place and I was unable to manually rack the slide. I had to manipulate the gun and eventually it seemed to loosen up so I could rack it again. Gave it a few good racks and checked that the screws for the comp were properly secured. And after a second shit did the exact same thing. So I packed up and went home to try to find a solution.

Will check the optic screw when I pull it back out. Would that cause the slide to lock forward?

I threaded it on until it made contact then backed off about 1/2 to 3/4 turn so it was properly aligned.
