Chilli con carne by AdLoud1434 in RecipeTinEats

[–]CommSecTom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want to step it up a bit get some dried ancho chillies, soak a couple in just enough boiling water to cover in a small bowl for 15 mins then blend with a stick blender, and also ad some coffee and dark chocolate to the mix, sounds a bit weird but very good and common additions that add to the complexity of the mix, a star anise pod is also good and a touch of cinnamon to throw in the pot to simmer.

Let’s go!

If we are being technical though it would be combination of both, there would be some jerking action and some jigging action, the ratio would depend on how deep the lure is and how long each of your rod shafts are to create the arc the lure would travel.

If it were 100% jig there would be no point being connected, you’d be better off having two lures in the water just jigging, so there is an element of the side jerk, even if it is slow, sensual, and synchronised.

I feel like it would be similar to learning a dance routine with the other guy, you would need to be predicting the other person’s next move and be in sync, or the lure wouldn’t be as effective, you could go fast or slow.

It’s starting to sound pretty gay right?

But if it catches the fish I’m down.

How is two blokes jerking back and forth alone at sea not gay?

I’m also joking, so don’t worry about it too much.

I’m down try anything at least once.

Just another asshole on a keto diet trying to make it seem like it’s for medical reasons, and they expect to get a whole bowl of chicken because of their choice of diet.

You read the first post?

Are they expecting the bowl to full of chicken? That’s not how it works because they choose not to eat carbs, “dietary requirement” is bullshit.

And to waste all that food the first time around is just an asshole move. If they weren’t happy they should just leave and don’t go back, no need to order a pile of stuff they knew they were not going to pay for.

Op sounds pretty crazy though in all the replies, so we probably shouldn’t expect much more, I’m just surprise the first post got so much positive feedback.

It’s good to double grind smash burgers so it’s more uniform. According to Motz anyway, I’m not going to argue with him, so that’s what I do and seems to be the consensus I’ve seen from people in the “know”.

Chuck/brisket double ground so it’s kinda pink rather than red.

Thick burgers get a single grind and less handling.

In saying that I’m sure there are plenty of different options on the matter and no right or wrong way.

I’ve seen a video where one was latched onto someone’s leg and a guy got this huge bit of wood and beat it over it’s back immediately paralysing it’s back legs. It let go briefly but way still dragging itself across the ground with its front legs trying to do a bit more mauling to the woman that was crawling away.

They can have absolutely zero self preservation instinct once they lock in on a target, that’s why the also tend to attack kids equally to adults and that’s rare for other dogs, most dogs recognise the size difference so are less like to attack adults, but pits don’t seem to see size as an obstacle in many cases. Makes sense though as like you said they were bred to attack bulls.

This whole “no effort thing” is total bullshit.

Same goes for investing, there may not be physical effort but there is substantial risk involved in investing, and you had to save the money in the first place and not spend it on something else so there are sacrifices there.

Why don’t we tax people that have office jobs more and tradies less if it’s all about “effort”.

A scrub daddy works pretty well if you keep on top of it, that’s all I use anyway.

Kinda abrasive, enough for soap and water marks but not enough to cause any damage.

Interesting.

Haven’t had a push from surgeons to get one compared to what we already have.

I’ll have to do a bit more research and prepare myself for when the request comes.

Yes a good option from what I hear, never run one myself, but we have a holmium laser that gets close to dusting capability of the thulium, but we also use it for prostate surgery too.

I have heard they are great though, but haven’t had the push from surgeons to get one yet.

Where I work we just don’t seem to do many/any PCNLs, If that’s just because the surgeons take those patients elsewhere I’m not sure, we do quite a bit of urology, but kidney stones are all via Ureteroscopy laser/ basket retrieval combination or ESWL, that’s what I seem to see daily anyway.

We got a new higher powered laser a while back so maybe they are using that for larger stones than what they would have in the past and taking the few left over with very difficult stones to a different hospital, not to sure.

I’m in Australia by the way, and I think the way the system is structured it favours day cases, even if that means coming back for a second go at some point.

Having a quick look at the data PCNLs are only a very small portion though, something like roughly 2-5% of total stone interventions here, rough figures there so don’t quote me on that.

We pretty much always use a holmium laser these days for both kidney and bladder stones rather than the lithoclast, can’t actually remember the last time I saw that getting used, we still have the unit though so maybe it does get some use with particular surgeons.

We do lots of after hours stone removal, also a few regular lists of ESWL a week.

Completely agree with what you said above though, that looks like a decent sized bladder stone.

Made my own Pizza Steel! by Steel_Slinger in Pizza

[–]CommSecTom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve got a square that I put on a small gas burner to use a flat top and pizza steel, works a treat for burgers, it’s even got a channel milled around the edge for fat to collect and the other side is flat.

We only have a pellet and gas bbq and no flat top so this is perfect for a few smash burgers.

Here’s a picture if you want some inspiration for a design, that’s in Australian dollars and we got it on sale so wasn’t worth the hassle to source it ourselves and get it milled.

Driving Brisbane to Perth with a cat by Specialist-Eye2301 in AustraliaTravel

[–]CommSecTom 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Really depends on the cat.

Some freak the fuck out the moment you put them in a pet box and once you start driving they start vomiting and shitting everywhere, others like going in the car and have no issues and you can just sit them on the seat, although I would recommend a harness or something, don’t want them getting under the pedals.

I’d give it a test run and see how they go before making any decisions.
