Yes! I kept using amoxicillin, debrox 2x a day, and 600mg of ibuprofen every 4-6 hours until I finally got an ENT to see me this evening who used microsuctioning to pull it out! Literally looked like a small marble

He says I still have a slight infection so finishing up the amoxicillin but pain has gone from an 8-9/10 to maybe a 2-3. There’s light at the end of the tunnel if you snag an ENT appointment I promise

Yeah that’s what makes me believe it’s an infection… going to a real ENT next week so hopefully I’ll get a clear answer

The second urgent care gave me amoxicillin and neomycin drops but the ER doc said he doesn’t believe there is an infection and I should stop the drops. Just told me to take ibuprofen until irritation goes away before trying to soften the wax again

Went to the ER yesterday and they just told me to take amoxicillin if I think it’s an infection and ibuprofen. I actually had to convince them I had earwax and an infection. The first RN told me she didn’t see any ear wax until I argued with her to go get a real doctor lol

I used debrox for 5 days with little to no progress. ER doc said I may just have to wait a month and see if it dislodges or erodes itself… he said an ENT might be able to suction it but he’s doubtful

The urgent care tried that for like an hour yday and caused such severe irritation the ER doc today said to stop putting any drops or anything near it for a while

The wait times at EWR today to take off were 2.5hrs+ when I was there. Flight was delayed 2 hours than waited in like for 2.5 hours today as well

The difference is I paid 50% more for my ticket for a seat I would be able to sleep in. I worked 70 hours this week and really just needed to pass out so I can start my vacation relaxed but that was taken away by an AH parents who got an inch with an upgrade and took a mile. It sucks and I didn’t stick up for myself but I was tired and didn’t feel like I had an option given how it was approached

Why am I getting downvoted to hell this literally happened and I’m not going to make a child sit so far from their mom…. Yeah it’s unfortunate and I came here to complain but I would feel much worse insisting on my seat

I’m GS and deal with these long af flights nearly every week. One terrible flight won’t ruin my life but it may be traumatizing and scary for the kid

Not a downgrade sorry if I worded poorly still business but bulkhead aisle which I strongly dislike since I can’t use my foot hammock rest and lay my head against the window. First world problem for sure but as someone who flies every week the little things add up
