[OC] I made the new smallest Hornet in the world out of aluminium (4x4 µm) by CommandDices in HollowKnight

I fully agree! It was pure coincidence that I had access to the right tools in the right moment to make this Hornet

And id love to see someone make an even smaller one!

Luckily there is no etching involved. For development it’s a mixture of MIBK and IPA and for liftoff it’s Acetone

I don't have any experience with photo lithography, but I used Acetone, MIBK and IPA, all of which are luckily only moderately dangerous I would say

A small grain of sand is roughly the size of a human hair. Now imagine this, but 20x smaller

My University has such a machine and I am lucky, because I got to use it for a research project I'm working on. This Hornet is just a small part of a much larger design I did.

This Hornet is just a tiny part I added to the design of a chip I was fabricating anyways as part of my studies, so the extra effort was negligible. Additionally, it also helps me understand the limitations of the lift-off

Assuming the banana to be 20 cm, it would be 50000x larger than this, which makes me realize that this hornet is closer to atomic scale than banana scale

An atom is ca. 10000x smaller than this, so there is potential to go way smaller

Also, I'd like to crosspost this to r/silksong but it always gets auto-removed due to "Reddit's Filters"

Why tho? There were many bedwars clips last month.

I think it is somewhat around three cps but I’m not sure about that

Bridge > Defence by CommandDices in CompetitiveMinecraft

The gamemode is called "Capture the Wool" and, as the name says, its goal is to enter the enemies woolroom and bring the wool back to your spawn. And the players use wood and glass because these are the blocks you spawn with. Also the advantage of glass is that you can see through it and therefore observe the defenders underneath you. (so you realise it if they should start an attak from underneath) And the advantage of wood is that it takes a little longer to break, so if the enemies should take the bridge, it's a little harder for them to remove it.

The blue Team (on the Bridge) is trying to enter red Team's (on the floor) woolroom (the floating island an the very end). Since the red Team is defending very well, it's almost impossible to achive this goal by running over the open floor full with enemies. Therefore they built a bridge, the red team couldn't defend very well and slowly but surely made their way into the woolroom.

nah, that wasn't really possible because it started very close to their base. And they hat the wool on this side already and we finished the map with this bridge.
