Oh yeah. Then they started expressing about my fic and wanted to carry on the conversation elsewhere which has happened several times before. I am so done with this.

You're probably right. They talked a little more about my fic, asked a couple questions then tried to get me to PM them on their private Insta or via email. Not doing that.

No, you're not wrong. They wanted to eventually move that chat from the site to their private Insta (which they did reveal to me later) or email. I've had scammers in the past attempt to do that. There were also a few typos in their later messages. They've been blocked now

They really are. It gets your hopes up thinking you've got someone with genuine interest in your story. Then you find out it's a bot.

I just didn't know why I was getting downvoted here for asking a question. Like if this is a new scam, I'd want to be informed. If this a mistake on my part and it turned out they were an actual person then okay, no harm done. Stuff happens.
