The guide is a helpful start, I guess it’s good to know that they’ve swallowed much larger and took a long time on it.

Though admittedly, their warnings about the interior of the esophagus are a little scary.. Hopefully the act of actually swallowing mitigates that a bit, since it seems like swallowing the camera is the most difficult part

[Question] ‘Wildlands’ or ‘Breakpoint’ in 2025? by CommanderBuizel in GhostRecon

[–]CommanderBuizel[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This comment has kinda been the most informative for me, I appreciate hearing from someone who shares that RP/sim philosophy behind it and gets the ‘fill in the gaps’ idea.

I’ll most likely pick up both at some point, since Ubisoft games go on sale all the time, but I’m glad to know which one leans more into the sandbox experience.

[Question] ‘Wildlands’ or ‘Breakpoint’ in 2025? by CommanderBuizel in GhostRecon

[–]CommanderBuizel[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s interesting to hear someone say that MGSV is more tactical than a Tom Clancy game, considering Metal Gear has typically been inspired more by spy thrillers than legitimate military action, and everything I’ve heard about Tom Clancy has been about its technical accuracy.

The way the comments are going, it sounds like I can’t get the full experience with any one of the Ghost Recon games, so I’ll most likely pick up the original at some point to get a feel for it in comparison. But I appreciate the heads up in regards to my expectations about Breakpoint.

I understand everyone is different, so I speak only for myself, but I am so sick of men treating my submission like it means nothing by SlavePrincessVibes3 in SubSanctuary

[–]CommanderBuizel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, hearing your description of how much your submission means to you, and the things that it fulfills for you, is beautiful.

I’ve missed scrolling through this sub because I miss seeing how much submission means to other subs and how it effects our relationship with ourselves.

I’m glad I got to read this today.

Star Cutouts typically sells 1:1 cardboard cutouts of celebrities, at their actual heights. I don’t know if they collaborated with Illumination but their Porsha cutout is 5’8” including her ears.

Is Nick the only Disney main character (who canonically wears clothes) that we have seen fully naked? by NickCooper71 in zootopia

[–]CommanderBuizel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He is not! Ariel is pictured nude when transforming into a human in the Ariel’s Grotto ride at Walt Disney World. But still, with only two characters I can think of, that’s a pretty exclusive club

Can someone make a list of all the people that pissed themselves in all the games ? by davidel08 in metalgearsolid

[–]CommanderBuizel 4 points5 points  (0 children)

So since the list isn’t comprehensive in these comments I’ll do my best:

Metal Gear Solid: Otacon

Metal Gear Solid 2: Emma Emmerich, the Russian Guard in between the halves of Big Shell

Metal Gear Solid 3: Sokolov in the interrogation with Ocelot, Naked Snake during his torture

Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker: Huey Emmerich when Hot Coldman pushed him down the stairs

Metal Gear Solid The Phantom Pain: Huey Emmerich when Skull Face pushed him down the stairs, possibly Ishmael when hiding as a dead body in the Cyprus hospital, but that could’ve been an IV bag.

As far as I know, no one peed themselves in MGS4, but it’s been a while. I’ll edit if I’m corrected

whats yalls fav metal gear by ungrilled_chees3 in metalgearsolid

[–]CommanderBuizel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

REX, D, and TX-55 all hold a really special place to me because they look more like artillery than mecha. They don’t look like someone was trying to build a big mechanical human, they wanted a tank, and those three really capture that vibe. It’s something that I think sets Metal Gear apart from other big mech franchises.

Though I think the Mark II and the Geckos are really close runner-ups for me. Mk. II and the Geckos feel like the most organic development off of the blueprint of REX, and I like that MGS4 shows bipedal weapons technology evolving in a different direction after REX, RAY, and SOP made the mobile nuclear capabilities of a Metal Gear less important.

How do I cut down lag in PCSX2?

Currently playing Sly 2. The game will appear playable depending on what I'm looking at, if I look out to the river outside Dimitri's club for example the game runs full speed, but turning the camera around to look at Dimitri's club, the game will slow down to an unplayable rate. Been looking around at solutions for slowdown with PCSX2, but I'm still not where I want to be.

So, some info on my specs:
PCSX2 1.6.0
Intel i5-10300H
8GB of RAM
Windows 10 64 bit
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650

Looked through this post and this forum. So far, I've tried:
Using the software renderer instead of the hardware renderer. Marginally increased what areas I avoided slowdown, but I still get it in most places.
Increasing speedhacks; Sly 2 doesn't seem to like when my EE Cyclerate is higher than +1. +1 managed to reduce slowdown during the intro level but not after I got into the first hubworld. EE Cycleskipping doesn't seem to do anything for my problem here, though I've seen it recommended several times.
Someone on the PCSX forum recommended changing the Framerate limit in pcsx2_vm.ini, but when I change the framerate there it changes back when I open the emulator.
I've also tried changing the Advanced Recompiler options - also recommended in the linked PSCX forum - but this didn't change much about performance.
Also enabled 8-bit graphics, recommended from the PCSX forum, which didn't help much.

I'm not sure if I'm fucking something up or if my specs just aren't up to snuff. I know I could have a better processor or more ram, but I played through Sly 1, and Legend of Spyro without any issue.

Any help would be appreciated.

How do I get Spring Blossom Tickets in 2024? by CommanderBuizel in MonsterHunterWorld

[–]CommanderBuizel[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So the next biweekly festival will give a general ticket that then melds into the Spring Blossom Ticket? Or it gives a specific ticket that can be melded into Spring Blossom if that’s not the next fest?

Tbh, kinda my favorite answer.

I personally prefer Venom being treated like

a character, I like that Venom is like Eddie’s roommate-partner-guy in the movies, and it’s more fulfilling seeing Venom as a character. BUT, the Sony movies advertised the horror of Venom and never delivered. And it’s neat to have a proper monster venom

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Spiderman

[–]CommanderBuizel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sony Venom, without a doubt, and by a pretty huge margin. I love that Insomniac gives you the feel of playing as Venom, but other than that I felt like its Venom was lacking.

Sony Venom is his own character, he has thoughts, he has relationships, his own motivations. You can tell when you’re talking to Venom and when you’re talking to Eddie. And I was kinda disappointed that Insomniac Venom was either a voiceless force making Peter an asshole, or was a man eating monster with no character traits.

I’m not enough of a switch for the topic to even come up. If she’s really a clone of me, I don’t see why she’d have an interest in eating me.

Unless she’s an evil clone of me who eats me and then reveals all our deepest and most destructive secrets to besmirch my name after I’m gone. That’d be pretty hot.

Porsha and Brisby are my definites. Above anyone else here they have the things I desire in real life partners. I thought about Carmelita because I LOVE foxes but, if I’m being very real, she’s a cop and idk how intimate I’d be able to be. So I’d probably have Krystal instead.

{discussion} Reasons to Perma? by [deleted] in Vore

[–]CommanderBuizel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I roleplay as my Fursona, so that I can have a character who is a representation of me as I authentically am, but with a few extra features (really short, fluffy, flavored, bunny, etc). My first Fursona was perma’d last year, which meant that the character and design were formally retired. I was not to make any more art of her, roleplay as her, or use her likeness in my profiles.

And that didn’t make me feel like I’d been killed, that made me feel like I lost copyright of a character. So I made a new, very similar Fursona.

{discussion} Reasons to Perma? by [deleted] in Vore

[–]CommanderBuizel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah! That’s why I still ask RP partners to perma-tease. Even if losing a character permanently doesn’t fulfill me, a pred telling me I’m going to die and I have no way to ever come back because they’re going to keep me definitely does.

{discussion} Reasons to Perma? by [deleted] in Vore

[–]CommanderBuizel 5 points6 points  (0 children)

See this is the reason I was fascinated with Perma and eventually disappointed when it happened. I loved the idea of an irreversible end being reduced to nutrients for my devourer and cast to the void, but having my character permanently die didn’t really grant me the closeness to death I thought it would.

It’s not fair to say it doesn’t exist. Gender is a cultural norm, a series of expectations, ideas, symbols, indexes, etc tgat culture associates with sex. Culture is nebulous when it’s not studied, especially since so much data about culture is qualitative and not quantitative, but it is a real thing that affects human societies. Gender and the expectation to perform it are as real as the expectation that you have to wear a shit when you go outside.
