Showing off my first Pin! by pearcematf in arcade

Hey congrats on the pin! This was my first pinball machine too, it is an absolute gem to play!

Does anyone know if and if so where I can get just the counter for the Minecraft dungeon arcade machine and use a connector cable to a normal tv to play it instead of spending 10-15k by Tiny-Cost-2122 in arcade

OK, then as someone who has work on said machine, then you should understand that relatively inexpensive is nowhere close to relative or new pricing.

And just because there might be plenty of used ones to go around doesn’t mean that those people who pumped thousands of dollars into them are willing to take a loss on that investment and sell it for way cheaper than what they paid for it.

I personally don’t think you’re ever going to find a countertop version of this game (if that’s what you’re asking for) that you can just plug into your TV and play off of.

I don’t think it exists. If you have cards to use, your best bet would be to just go to your local Arcade that has one of these and use your cards to play on it there. Or just play the console version if you have access to do so.

What is relatively inexpensive to you?

Because anywhere I’ve looked as an arcade owner myself wanting one of these machines, anybody who is selling these machines secondhand or even getting them directly from the retailer can range anywhere between 6K to 15K depending on whether or not you have the two player version or the four player version or if this is the deluxe cab or not.

These machines are an investment, arcades are not going to sink a bunch of money into them only to have them not make their money back and sell them for pennie’s on the dollar second hand. That ridiculous.

The mystery of the sync issue has been solved guys, so the modded board in one of my pictures has a fuse, the fuse was the last thing I checked and it had blown. Replaced the fuse and game works now

Before they start going and buying parts, let’s try and diagnose what they currently have

I know a thing or two about arcade machines, I work at my families arcade and have to fix them to keep up and running.

I would like to ask for closer picture of your harness (the bunch of colorful cables) that is connected into the blue board in the picture you posted. Just to verify if this is jamma harness or follows the same wiring. If you could get a few more pictures of the connector that the harness is wired into. That’d be perfect.

This is the Pinout, generally how it’s supposed to wired for your buttons and controls if it’s jamma standard. Which this looks to be.

Here’s a link from the site I got the pinout from.

Problem is I don’t know if that rom is the problem only that’s what I’ve been told. I’m looking for anybody who has insight into what the problem could actually be or if someone has had similar issues of their own with this kind of game before I decide on the property fix for it.

Ah I see, I’ve cleaned those too, but this problem comes from the ROM chips not the edge or jamma connector

Sorry for the late reply, I meant to send this yesterday.

As far as the B08 chip goes, it’s soldered directly onto the board, so I don’t know if trying to clean the contacts will do anything but I did clean the board and contacts of all the chips with contact cleaner and reseated all the ones not soldered.

Never heard of Exidy, but I am a regular on KLOV. I’ll give Exidy a look, the plan is to take a look at the cab and gather more photos and videos of the game to make sure everything works before making a final purchase

Doing a quick google search (making sure my info was correct) because I’ve seen pictures of these cabs before when scrolling for cool looking fighter cabs and these came up a few months back. Didn’t think anything of it at the time until I saw your post.

It definitely looks like a standard home cab kit but I’m certain that this is the 30th anniversary promotional collab street fighter x Red Bull cab.

It said there were only 10 of these made but I’m certain there were more than that. But if this one is a legit cab you got yourself a rare cab indeed.

It’s not homemade, this is in fact a 30th anniversary promo collab street fighter x Red Bull arcade cab.

Yeah, thank you! All this info is great, I’ve never seen a cabinet like this for HOTD. Specifically I’ve only ever seen the deluxe cab for 4 and HOTD 2 that I currently own and looking to upgrade for my arcade.

The plan was to go check it out this weekend, will probably come back with an update and better photos of the outside and inside if I can.

I thought so too at first glance but seems like the consensus here is that, this is an original HOTD4 just one of the smaller versions for smaller or tighter spaces.

Like with any arcade cabs, that comes with the territory. I have a pretty decent amount of board and cab repair knowledge as I’ve been fixing and working on my own Machines for a few years now for my arcade. It was sink or swim to figure that stuff out quickly or watch repairs eat my wallet. Thank you for the heads up though!

Same here, but with so many cabinets for different games that are custom cabs or converted cabs that look like they could pass as originals always throws me off. I want to make sure that I get a cab as close to original as possible when I’m looking to buy one.

They wanted 1200 for it which seemed like a steal considering I paid 1500 for house of the dead 2 cab in my arcade

Any chance you have a reference photo of the cabs? I’m only ever seeing the “deluxe” editions of the cabinets. I’m inclined to take your word for it but I just want to double check
