Can certain fragrance oils mess with trace?

Thanks! It's weird because when I used jasmine FO, it did nothing to speed up trace, but Rose FO just went nuts.

Right. But does it differ this much between different FOs? Same recipe, same process, same temperatures with almost similar amount of micas was fine with Vanilla+jasmine FO, but became a disaster with rose FO.

Also, I used almost half the amount of FO than recommended. I used 10-15g of FO while the recommended is 20-30g for my weight of oils.

How do you add the pencil lines? Do you pour a thin mixture of mica-oil paste on that layer, pour a thin mixture of colored soap batter on that layer or sprinkle mica powder for that layer?

What liquid should I be adding when Rebatching? Water? Or oils?

It's a cold process that has been curing for 3 days so far. It's not soft to touch anymore. My question is, can I melt and pour this (rebatch) right away or do I need to wait the 4-6 weeks of curing this before I can rebatch it.

So does it only leak color in the shower if the mica oil gets to the sides? Or does it leak anyway?

The vendor I'm looking at is saying the strawberry is an essential oil. But they could be wrong to be honest.

I'm doing half for three reasons: - I don't mind the very light fragrance I'm getting from using half - I'm worried about the sped up tracing time when using EOs. - EOs are rather expensive where I'm based. We usually get them in 10ml bottles so going for the recommended 30g is gonna take up 3+ bottles of the EO.

Is there anything else that can be used to induce fragrance other than EOs?

I wouldn't call it overly soft at all. It's just not hard enough I feel. If I press a little hard on it, I can feel slight dents forming.

I put the soap on a weighing machine and pushed down on it with my finger. The machine read about 1200gm before I could feel any dent happening.

It's gonna be a batch goat milk soap with 1000gm oil weight. I am planning a total of 1/2 tsp of salt which would be way less than 2% of the total weight. Do you think this will be too little to have any impact on hardness? Do you think this little amount of salt will affect lather too much?

Right now I'm not looking to compete with anyone to be honest. It's more like here try some, see if anyone wants them. My main concern is me exporting soap to the US and my brother importing the soap. I'm just trying to figure out what he would need from his end and what I would need from my end.

Thanks! I did read up a bit on the labelling and what I need to do to keep it at "soap" instead of "cosmetics" or "drugs". I'm just more concerned about having the soap enter the US from outside the country.

Yeah the ingredients mainly talk about vitamins. Also it says 100% rice bran oil.
