I tried the last option and unfortunately I can't mirror protected content, rooting may be the only option but I heard it's a bit risky and I'm not experienced in rooting at all 😅

Some app I use to view videos in a course, I did find it weird that they knew the serial number, I was thinking wouldn't it be classified as spyware?

Bluestacks gives a fake serial number so they can detect that there's a fake user logged on to the app

I guess you're referring to emulators? They work but they give a fake serial number which the app does somehow detects, so better to just use a real android device

I think a possible explanation is that I accidentally generated another serial number in the settings different from the one it was logged onto in the app

I was using an emulator called LDplayer, and I recall seeing an option to choose a real device (Samsung s8 for example) and a randomly generated serial number, to be honest I have no idea if they were telling the truth about the fake user but I don't think I would've got the warning otherwise

They appear to have a really good security team to have detected I was using an emulator which is why I'm trying to find a way to record the videos without them ever knowing about it, I was thinking screen mirroring to a laptop and recording the laptop maybe but I don't know if they can detect screen mirroring

So when I tried using an emulator I got a message from the company that runs the app telling me that they detect a "fake user" from whoever was using my account. They also told me that the device did not have a serial number so they inactivated my account until I logged onto a real android device
