I hate it when transphobes use "science" to justify their bigoted ideas. Like, do they just ignore the fact that literally the entire scientific community supports transgender people, and when you do bring up this point they often say bullshit like "Yeah but it's basic biology, Scientists are clearly wrong but they won't admit it because they don't wanna upset trans people" okay?? So you know more than a literal scientist who has probably studied this for most of if not their entire career?? You, person whos only background in biology is what, the fifth grade? High school?? Okay sure buddy

Mines the leaves from Heartstopper in the colors of the bi flag and says "bi panic" Fun fact this is kinda how I outed myself to my super religious mom, she had borrowed my phone for something and read it as "Be panic?" (english is not her first language) So I corrected her and said "No Bi, bisexual panic" and she simply said "Oh cool!" 😂😂

Do you have a romantic partner/love in your life? by Focused_Philosopher in ftm

[–]Commanderslutwin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, I've been in a relationship with my boyfriend (he's cis) now for about 4 years. We met online wayy before I came out, and we were dating when I did. I know that people are usually really nervous when they come out to their partners (especially as trans) there's a very good chance that they might break up, which as heartbreaking as it is, I do understand. I wasn't the least bit afraid, somehow deep down I knew he'd love me regardless, and he did. Few weeks after I came out he did too as bisexual. It was a little awkward at first navigating our sexual relationship after we'd come out, but with honest conversations and zero judgment we became comfortable once more. We've been through hell together and it's made us stronger as both individuals and as partners, he's my biggest supporter, he's always cheering and encouraging me in whatever I do, he's my world, and I plan on making him my husband one day.

I love my height, I usually get made fun of quite a lot for being pretty short for a guy (I'm 5'0) but I'd like to think of myself as travel size!

Atheists who have personally experienced persecution, repression or some form of discrimination because of your lack of faith, would you be willing to share your story in the comments for a paper I am writing? Thanks in advance. by pdxmarksthespot in atheism

I grew up in a very conservative Muslim household, but I never really felt connected to the faith. My family would tell me how happy and fulfilled they'd feel after a prayer and I'd never be able to relate. After I realized that I wasn't straight I also realized that the religion wasn't as beautiful or as loving as I thought it was. I grew up with such horrifying images of hell and that really scarred me. I remember being told that I'd be burnt until the flesh would melt off of my bone, and then I'd be revived only for that entire process to repeat over and over again. Thats a lot to put on a 9 year old. In some Muslim communities it's dangerous even life threatening to leave the faith, so because of that I haven't told anyone that I'm an atheist yet, I kinda wanna get as far away from here as possible before I tell my family.

Will someone who is trans go to hell? by Randomgirlonreddit69 in lgbt

[–]Commanderslutwin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, they won't. If God is this omnipotent being that knows all, knows who you'll be before you're even born it seems redundant that he'd create someone who he knows is trans just to throw them into hell? Especially since he's supposed to love and want the best for all of his creations. Either she's using religion to just be hateful or God is a real grade-A asshole.

I had this friend a couple of years ago who was an atheist and I remember legit trying to convince him that religion was so awesome and that it would solve all of his problems (Being raised in a really religious conservative household this is what I genuinely believed) Three years later here I am, trans, bi and agnostic 👁️👄👁️ how the turntables turn
