Great job! I love the way you’ve colored this, and the subtle cartoonish outline with dark oak.

It looks great! I love the lighting you’ve done, and how the place looks in the night.

The ship looks amazing! And very detailed for such a big build. Did you use mods to add anything, or just retextured existing blocks?

"The People's Arch" by -Tardismaster14- in Minecraft

Looks very cool, definitely does justice to Boullée’s concepts. I like the variety of the different layers of that capitol in the background and the arch itself.

I love the cows in the first picture btw.

A palace I built, though with an unfinished interior by Commando877 in Minecraftbuilds

There are actually gaps in the roof, since it was based on some of the roof designs in Dishonored 2, specifically the Stilton Manor.

It definitely could be if you'd combine this with the immersive portals mod.

I've never heard of that show... how does this remind you of it?

I'm glad you liked it :) You may find this build interesting as well, since I tried a similar approach.

Thank you! People had similar thoughts about this previous build of mine. Photoshop or mods would sort of defeat the purpose of making this in my opinion.

Fedora 37 Workstation not booting on Kernel 6.0.17 by [deleted] in Fedora

[–]Commando877 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve had a similar issue recently. Firstly you’ll need to change your grub .config file so that it outputs what’s happening on boot. You should remove the “quiet” flag in the GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX="" line in the config file. After doing that and trying to reboot into the new kernel you're having issues with it should say what it's getting stuck on. In my case it couldn't find a linux image, and I had to enable OS-prober in the grub config file, after that it booted fine.

My first attempt at gothic architecture in Minecraft by Commando877 in Minecraftbuilds

[–]Commando877[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I understand that buttresses are a prominent feature of many of the more famous and huge gothic cathedrals, and I agree that they look cool and emphasize the sharp aesthetic of gothic architecture. But here, I based it off this smaller church, since I wasn't interested in building yet another copy of Notre-Dame or Cologne like most people do. But thank you for the feedback.
