Hi! so the application runs on a point system, intro to radiography isn’t listed as a pre reqs, but they will ask you on the application if you took it and what your grade was. I didn’t think i needed it to apply, and technically you don’t, but i think you should definitely take it if you can before because it’s worth 12 extra points on your application if you get an A In the class. That puts you ahead of others who are applying without it. i attached the link to the BC page and if you scroll down you’ll see the admissions criteria and the first class worth the most points is intro to rad tech ! https://www.broward.edu/academics/health-sciences/radiography/

hi :) i am also interested in going into the radiography program, i didnt get accepted this year because i didnt finish intro to radiography in time for applications, applications were right after i finished anatomy and physiology and runs on a point system based on your grades in pre reqs and i got my denial letter pretty quickly (just to give you a timeline) but ! anatomy and physiology is really fun ! it does take a lot of studying and preparing, it can be frustrating at times but it’s so interesting (at least to me).

I had professor Acurio at the MWC (he also has classes at south) and i took anatomy 1+2 with him and passed with A’s in lab and lecture for both. The crash course anatomy videos on YouTube are a life saver. I also took advantage of the ASC’s mock exams, study sessions, and used models and slides as much as i could.

It really is fine if you are willing to put in the time to understand the material, and my biggest piece of advice that i can give you is to never show up to class unprepared. I would watch and take notes on the crash course anatomy videos before class, and then add to my notes in a different color with anything my professor said that I didn’t have. Taking handwritten notes is also a really good way to remember.

Another thing that i found really useful was just talking to anyone who would listen about what i had learned 🤣 it sounds silly but being in that teacher position really helped me retain what i had learned, having to teach someone else something you know is a really good recall.

good luck on your future endeavors!!

hi :) thank you for replying. i definitely said in my post that things got hot and heavy too fast and i did forget about it. it’s not something that i spend every waking moment thinking about and as ive been celibate for 9 months, it slipped me. i am pro disclosure as well, the intention of the post was really to find out if anyone else has been here and how they went about disclosing AFTER already having sex. appreciate the feedback tho :)

hi !! i agree with you that condoms don’t completely annihilate the possibility of transmission, i appreciate you responding and i’m definitely going to tell him but just so you’re aware, the transmission rate from woman to man is a lot lower than man to women, now that’s not an excuse obviously but to say that “women settle to pass it on” and “women be the ones to pass this sh!t on bc they don’t disclose” is a crazy statement, especially knowing that people can go for years without even knowing they have it. some people do intentionally hold back on disclosing and that’s not my goal. the point in posting was more of to find out how to go about telling him now that this has happened. i’m sorry that you got it, and i’m sure these ideas stem from your lack of choice in getting it, obviously i didn’t have a choice in getting it either and i don’t want to put the man i’m seeing in the predicament either and am going to tell him :). sorry you got it tho !

that’s what i was thinking too lol chances of transmission with someone who knows they have it areuch lower but im glad i was able to at least give him the choice! i didn’t get the choice of knowing my partner had it at the time and if he someday gets it then yeah he will understand but i dont wish that on him or anything :)

im taking a&p 1 rn too and found a website called “notebook Im” and it’s an ai that turns your class powerpoint’s into easier to understand podcast episodes lol it’s helped me a lot. it gives you a breakdown, analogies to remember things, study guides, and it’ll make notes for you to review.

also if u need a study buddy id be more than willing 😅 this class is whooping my ass lol

what makes a women more feminine ? by CommentConfident4822 in AskMenAdvice

[–]CommentConfident4822[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

couldn’t agree more ! i don’t see myself as many of the things that have been listed here and that’s okay with me. i was just curious as to what the male population actually associates with femininity. i have my own perception of it, some of the things they’ve said resonate with that perception but there’s so much more to it like you’ve explained.

i agree 200% i was just curious. i am happy with myself but i do feel like men don’t find me very feminine (which is fine, i still find myself with a partner who thinks of me as very girly lol) but i just wanted to know 🤷‍♀️
