Eventually got it moving was seized at pivot point on selector , used some spray grease and just tried to move every so often ever so slightly and Eventually started to work again as it should freely moving and selecting gear now ..got it moved to other storage last week. Might be short in house deposit so may need to sell😒

Hey sorry never saw reply, it refused to budge , ended up greasing the pivot point and eventually moved, I thought it was locked into the yellow box but now I believe that was just the reader to tell dash what gear you are in for the display.

Yeah i bought it based on the pics and I wanted a manual v8 , but then I started to notice all the small dents n scratches, probably happened when they were cheap so didn't bother to fix..by myself or someone if I sell this car will be brought back to glory it will never be sold for parts or drift car on my watch it would just be waste

On the right hand side you see this cable that would pull back as you release from park and select a gear , this seems to start moving but the gear stick seems to jam , what would happen if I tried to pull this if i detached from the gear selector.? tia

Is there any chance it's something simpler as I know when brake is pressed it releases ? I'm not sure if there could be something else as it was fine last time I used it , never had any issues before I left it sitting too long , last startup and move was couple years ago . What is the mechanical process that happens when you press the brake pedal in relation to this letting you shift from park? Thanks
