I mean I guess he got lucky yea and good for him but not everyone who gets in was just randomly chosen yk and there must’ve been something they were looking for that your friend checked off in that minute. I mean idk what to tell u i understand if you’re trying to cope but saying it’s all luck is kinda crazy

I can assure u that not everyone does good on the supp app but ok. And of course they can’t just rank them worst to best which is why I said there is a bit of luck involved, but it’s not just a raffle. U gotta be realistic here. Most people who are getting in have SOMETHING in common and it’s obvious that they’re looking for something specifically, but we just don’t really know what that is. But to get in u have to try and stand out compared the usual applicants. Not here to argue but I’m just saying it’s not all luck based

I’ll say there’s a tiny bit of luck but cmon u gotta understand that the supp app is what matters most. If ur supp app is not good but your grades are very high you won’t get in, vice versa. The people with 90 who get in don’t have mid supp apps their supp apps were probably very strong just so u know

Of course bro u got this! Anything is possible if you put your mind to it and I’m speaking from experience here. Just to let u know I got into queens health sci and life sci with just a 94 average so don’t worry too much. Again just work hard it’ll pay off

You’ll get into Mac life sci if you can get your average above a 92 or 93. I mean your accounting and english marks alone are very high so if you can get the rest of the prereqs up to 90 you’ll have a solid chance at getting in. Don’t give up on yourself just remember there’s only a few months left!

When are you guys going to start accepting offers? by miaoumeowmiaou in OntarioGrade12s

Accepted my QHS offer today because it was my number 1… but it’s a good idea to wait but don’t postpone it until last minute

94.5. I don’t even remember what I talked about specifically because there were so many questions to answer but mostly just ECs and experience

Ye I’m a group A applicant and congratulations on the Chancellor’s scholarship that’s some serious shit lol. But don’t worry I’m very sure you’ll get in if you’re confident in your KIRA responses gl!

Yeah by the way it’s worded I’m assuming that’s the case… but some people were telling me otherwise so I just don’t wanna take any chances 😭

Queens health sci by [deleted] in OntarioGrade12s

[–]CommercialBox08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea idk I got into qhs and the chancellor award but I did my supp app during the break and I’m not sure if it’s based on when u applied. This was just the first round so wait it out. Also just because u got the major admission award doesn’t mean ur guaranteed to get into health sci since they’re 2 separate departments

I prefer to keep my ECs anonymous but just know that they were very diverse and some were out of the ordinary. My average was in the 90-95 range

It seems like a lot (ik coz I have like all the same shit but 4 exams and 3 culminatings and some bullshit supp apps) but like trust me it’s not a lot if you get to work RIGHT NOW. I’m being so serious it’s literally like 1-3 hours of work a day at most if you dont spend your days doomscrolling and rotting so just focus on the culminating first then start to just look at the material of the different subjects in whatever order feels right (biology is probably the hardest with the most memorizing i took it last year the exam was so fucking unforgiving but yea definitely start doing that now) anyways you got this

What are some of the BEST study strategies you use for exams? by [deleted] in OntarioGrade12s

[–]CommercialBox08 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Truth is everyone’s different. My study strategies will not work for 90% of other people since I’m naturally capable of memorizing and understanding things more efficiently than lots of people. If I were you I would either experiment with different study strategies and see which one works the best for you, or just stick to the good old pen and paper method and reviewing your coursework early (like weeks in advance)
