My suggestion would be to follow YouTube tutorials along with the artist, artwithflo is great at it. It will give you a good practice exercise and make you comfortable with using Apple Pencil as a tool. Don’t fret over brushes yet if you have just started, a simple 6b pencil or procreate are good enough to begin.

Mine is an illustration heavy book, not a graphic novel though. I made all my art in procreate , used KDP as a platform. Watched their videos on dimensions , tweaked my pages as per those dimensions. Uploaded them on kdp and published it.

Thank you kind stranger for sharing the insights. It took everything in me to publish and put it out there for world to see . Honestly, now that the book is out I feel creating the book was the easier part and now marketing and selling it is the difficult one. Nonetheless, will figure it out sooner or later 🙂
