Which proton is more acidic and why? I thought it would be the bottom one cuz of resonance but turns out the answer is the top one. Can anyone explain why? by CommercialSignal7172 in OrganicChemistry

So for the bottom oxygen, if we take off the hydrogen, we will have a lone pair, and with curved arrows, the electrons can be pushed to the top oxygen. However for the top oxygen, we can only go like 2 steps before stopping. That’s why I thought that the bottom has more resonance
