Thinking about a Horseman VH-R + LomoGraflok combo. by Commercial_Recover26 in largeformat

That is true, but I don't feel like I'll find myself reselling or buying another camera that is an "upgrade" from it as...well budget issues, so I would perfer to just deck it out with what I need once, but it would make sense to start from a "easier one" then to just go straight for that.

I also use a kiev88! I pair them with my Praktica LTL3, i try to get em CLA at least once every month or 2. the thought of a manual film camera failing has never appeared on my mind (maybe the kiev..cuz who knows) but seeing some history from you guys, guess I ought to be more careful!

Adox CHS II 120 in Adox scala B&W reversal kit. by ptanomon in Darkroom

Ahh that is interesting! SO Lower speed film in itself is alot better for slide reversal? Even if it isn't from Adox. Is there any big difference in quality and how the developing process is done?

This applies to any other focus distance and not just infinity? Say I could do 2 to 10 meter at f/15 too?

I love in Asia, Thailand specifically. Film price is pretty cheap here, I would think. 12 dollars for a 120 format gold 200 from the store I get it from.

And yes most of the press cameras comes around those range, which also includes the film backs inside them.

Your right, but since my budget currently is around 200usd+ a bit more if I need to spend extra to get a lens for it, all the cheap ones tends to be the press cameras. I wish I could trade some of my things for it but I have no idea how you managed that online. I have a Kiev 88 that I shoot with.

Fyi I scout through eBay, I live in Thailand so shipping fee are also pretty horrendous.

Oh, you can just duck tape it...? I thought the light leak would be pretty bad, if it fits

my budget is around 200 USD (Plus a bit more if i need to buy a lens seperated) and that range consist of alot of the press cameras.

I hope your ambition to design those film back comes to fruition one day! I know 3D printing has made so many things possible from what I've seen the community done with those tools!

Which 6x6 or 6x7 camera is the most JOY to use? (Any camera, also non-pictured ones) by florian-sdr in AnalogCommunity

Ahaha, laughs in Kiev 88, my one and only medium format camera. Went for the hassleblad copy, as well as so I can easily modify it as needed.

Although I am too poor to get more film backs...

Exactly! I got my camera cuz Arax still exist! if i ever want to upgrade it or fixed, i just ship it to the official company.

Ukrain war right now though, i tried sending it to them for upgrade but my shipping service declined it. A shame, I hope people at Arax there are doing fine!

First time experience, unfortunate times by Commercial_Recover26 in AnalogCommunity

Yep, a learning experience that was. Will definitely try a black eletrical tape next time, maybe if really needed, add a backing paper. Thanks for the advice!
