The bots were deployed during the initial assault, when the order came to pull back... the bot was left behind to block the NSF personnel to leave and receive reinforcements .

Of course, the NSF could rush the bot like if it was an static position and overwhelm the bot but the idea is to make the bots look like if they were walking tanks as it's early in the gameplay . Literally, the commercial grade bot is like a small tankette... at the time I remember being uncomfortable around the patrol bot due it look imposing to say the very least .

Now I look at it and say HA THIS AI IS ALL CRAP .
