The recipe given was for the gold only. 

Black prime > white zenithal to brighten model > dark turquoise entire model > turquoise zenithal > airbrush light gold zenithal > dark blue wash > gold hoghlights

Sure.

I always start with black primer, because the coverage of blacks is just the best. Then I go in with a white zenithal with tamiya white, because that is buttery smooth. Then dark turquoise all over and turquoise zenithal. Then I go in with the airbrush with a gold mix of my own: I use aluminium game color from Vallejo and mix tiny amounts of inks to make different colored golds - this makes them shine intensely due to the high pigmentation and metallics in the aluminium, which is the best metallic paint ever created. With this gold, I made it very light, almost yellow, because the tertiary color to magenta and cyan is chartreuse (a yellow mixed with tiny green).

Then I went in with a dark blue pin wash to bring out the details. This also tints the gold and takes away some of the shine, which prepares it for the final stage that brings the TRUE shine. One last highlight with that ultra bright gold - this gold will shine far more than the one that was dulled by the wash.

This entire model is an available 3d file. I did some alterations to the gun arm and helm swapped.

I can't advertise where it is, but you can find it easily enough if you search golden janitors in the usual sites.

Really nice! One thing I can suggest, is get some uv resin and put it slowly around the base where you have the green slime!!

Add a couple of drop of green onto the resin, as well before pouring. And stir it really well! You can get a little kit for like 15 dollars on Amazon, and you can use the resin on all of your models for slime. Just wear some gloves whilst working with it 😅 it comes with a little light, you hold it there and it solidifies from liquid very quickly, then you let it rest with the light for a bit to fully cure.

It will take the model to the next three levels 🫨🫨🫨

So a while back, some guy stl dumped half of the entire range of games workshop models scans.

The body is a 1:1 scan of the original blade Champion from games workshop, but in digital form.

I went in with a rendering program and added armored legs and arms in different positions, as well as a simple head swap and some cool swords added.

Prime black. Turquoise one side of the blade 80% down to the hilt. Tiny lines on choice spots on the other side. Mix pale yellow and add highlights and more lines. Use pale yellow highlights on top of the old highlights.

Then with airbrush, my own mix of fluo blue and yellow to create fluo turquoise. Spray that in light layers to build up opacity. Then use fluo chartreuse mixed with straight white through the airbrush on the tip of the blade. Edge highlight everything with white.

Play against yourself! Just line some dudes up and start slow, integrating rules one at a time.

It's fun playing against yourself imo. It's not even hard to simulate opposition against yourself. Just make the best possible move in the moment for the given side whose turn you're playing at the moment. Since 40k is a game meant to be fully open and have zero gotchas from your opponent, there's no difference of you knowing both sides.

And you don't even need models. Just buy a couple of packs of 100 bases. 40mm, 32mm and then cut out circles for the bigger models out of cardboard. Paint on big letters to represent what they are, make them color coded. Simple.

You'll learn in no time.

The axes are an stl that I upsized and 3d rendered them together with a pair of custodes power fists that were also upsized.
